Noob question: why film in 4K?

90% of the people on YouTube have no idea what they’re talking about But you wanna shoot 4K even for delivery at 1080p with the a6400 because the 1080p is awful. It’s line-skipped 4K so it looks really really really bad and blurry. If you’re shooting for work and worried about file sizes then charge

Noob question: why film in 4K?

I've set myself the goal of getting the best possible image out of my unimpressive kit (Sony a6400 Tamron 17-70), so I set the file format to 4K basically because everyone on YouTube said to.

As I sit here waiting for the massive files to transfer from the SD card to my computer where I'll edit th

Need a camera that can record for 2 hours straight in 4k without overheating

I’m an audio engineer and records audio of live classical music performances. Some clients however request for video. Been using my iPhone 13 for a while but I’ve reached its limits.

I need a camera that could record in 4k without overheating for at least 2 hours without overheating. I really like

Whats your favourite "The Video is in LOG" client story.

Normally a bmpcc4k which has no problem with these things. This time though, a sony a6400 cause the bmpcc4k was occupied. No monitor for the sony, and I just found out that it had a gamma preview assist lol. So my fault here for sure. (Still no internal "LUT" support) The bmpcc4k has a proper rig wi

beginner friendly cam

Mainly the gyro data recording capabilities and the fully articulating screen. A minor reason would also be the Type-C port. At first, I thought I was never going to need those features, but as I got into video, I found myself wishing I had them. I’m not saying the A6400 is a bad camera. It’s just t

DSLR camera looking super poor quality

I have a Sony Alpha 6400 with a cable straight into my pc, using their native software Imaging Edge Webcam. I also have a large elgato ringlight around it. By all means I should be getting professional grade quality image out of it. I’ve added it as a video capture device source, then I read on anot

BUG: Half screen is green with Camlink 4k + browsers

Hi, Whenever I use my DLSR (Sony a6400) with my Camlink in a browser, I get this:

The behaviour is the same on any site (Google Meet, Whereby etc) and on all different browsers.

But the camera works perfectly in OBS, Skype, zoom etc.

3:2 photos look... strange.

Hi all. So I just can't understand what the issue is here. I have used micro four thirds cameras for a long time, specifically Panasonic Lumix cameras and I currently own a GX85 A couple of years ago I bought a Sony a6400 and I primarily shoot with that now. What I can't figure out is why the 3:2 as

From what I have seen, the a6400 doesn;t have a 30 min time limit. Def not doing 4k because sounds like it would overheat in that case
