Print in full color with only 4 colors
This is the same technique the Snapmaker mod uses. This takes it a step further, but it's the same concept Snapmaker didn't invent or develop the technique. Someone in the community developed the mod, originally for the Snapmaker U1. There's nothing really special about the Snapmaker U1 that allows

Best time to purchase H2C?
I would suggest you also consider a toolchanger. They are generally a lot faster at the cost of fewer concurrent colors. I have 4 H2C's and an H2D, and I do appreciate them. But, I get more fun prints out of my cheap Snapmaker u1, particularly in TPU. The limitation on the U1 is mostly the number of

I just got my U1 and here are my first impressions as a Bambu Lab user
I really appreciate your review. I run a 20 Printer farm all bambu lab machines. I run several e-commerce brands. You could think of me as a slumlord in that regard. I purchased three Snapmaker U1s on pre-order and received them last week. I must say I think bambu lab is in trouble. At least they wi

2026 is the year of the toolchanger. Will Bambu compete with this performance?
I own 4 BLs (P1S, A1 mini, A1, H2D) and a Snapmaker U1. Edit: and I've owned and built others since 2012 or so. The BL software is better but it's not substantially better (computer-side). The mobile app is a lot better, but the Snapmaker mobile app is fine. Just not as many features. BL is the winn

First 3d Printer Snapmaker U1 or P2S
You're asking in a Snapmaker subreddit, so you'll get Snapmaker recommendations. Many people will tell you the opposite in the BL subreddit. But: I'm one of many who own a U1 and also own BL printers (P1S, A1 mini, A1, H2D). I don't own the P2S but I think I can speak with a fair bit of relevant exp

Snapmaker U1 vs Sovol M1D
I personally don't buy Kickstarters until they enter proper production and are already released for a couple months, so unless you want to wait until around mid next year, the Sovol is not an option IMO. The Snapmaker U1 is a fantastic printer, but it's not an enclosed printer from the start. If you

Been waiting the entire month of January for the H2D Vortek upgrade kit to release and I see this...
I don’t trust the email notifications anymore, never accurate. I just check online manually couple time each day and that’s how I got my Vortek kit in December. It doesn’t save time but only save poops. It’s slow compared to real tool changer system. Got my kit for free… to be honest if you can get

U1 vs P2S
Disclosure: I don't own either of these machines. I have two P1S units, I'm a fan of Bambu products in general, and I backed the U1 which I'm expecting in January. I think that if you want to do multicolor prints, the best option right now in the sub-$1k price range is the Snapmaker U1. You're right

Will it be the MMU???
The Snapmaker U1 is gonna shake up the market for MMU's. It's much faster and much more economical than filament swappers. That would be my choice for multi-color printing right now.
