They need to stay competitive towards new players like Snapmaker with their U1. I'd be surprised if it's 1k+. My guess would be between 850 and 999.

Is Core One+ INDX a worthwhile upgrade from Bambu P1S and original AMS?
Wait until it ships and we get unbiased reviews on how well it works.Keep in mind that this is a 2560.00 solution with an available print bed size of 205x248. Not 220x250 once you add INDX. Best time to purchase H2C?
I would suggest you also consider a toolchanger. They are generally a lot faster at the cost of fewer concurrent colors. I have 4 H2C's and an H2D, and I do appreciate them. But, I get more fun prints out of my cheap Snapmaker u1, particularly in TPU. The limitation on the U1 is mostly the number of

2025 Tool Changers
Snapmaker U1 is nowhere near to 5s for color change. 5s it takes to swap only the tools without heating, priming, etc.

Like what? In my experience the only one with similar print quality and reliability are the Prusa machines. They are great, but cost significantly more than Bambu. Elegoo CC? Nope Snapmaker U1? Maybe Any creality? Hell no.

2025 Tool Changers
- Prusa Core One with INDX is definitely a 2026 device, not 2025. - Have to increase the time on the Snapmaker U1 - Less sure on this one, but I think the bond indx systems shrinks the prusa core one effective build size
