Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling
I've been thrilled with my Snapmaker U1. It's just as good as my Bambu X1C from what I can tell.

CORE One L Price increase from April 7th
at the current price, it was already to expensive. here in the USA we are paying roughly $2,000 after shipping or from printed solid. for $2k i can get 2 snapmaker u1 or 2 p2s or a h2d. all of these options have better features and price then any prusa machine. please give us a reason to buy prusa.

State of things with Bambu?
I’m also out of the loop. Haven’t updated my firmware and software since that time Bambu announced Orca can no longer send prints directly. Hadn’t switched to LAN because I pretty much just stopped 3d printing. I was that annoyed. Then got a U1 (now have 2) and am happy again so all the printers are

Snapmaker U1 Firmware Update: V1.4.0
Somehow Snapmaker actually improved their reputation with this Printer. I will stand by for now when saying the only Alternative to Bambu Labs Printers when it comes to the entire Package (Price, Performance, Reliability, Quality) are Snampaker U1Qidi Q2

Is it just me, or is the X2D hype a bit forced?
Because no one would buy the P2S. This was never their plan. X2D was not a $900 printer. I believe it was a $1100-1200 printer or was supposed to be. It would price it right in between the p2S and H2S. Enough gap to make it a differentiating product. P2S and X2D were pretty much in production togeth

2026 is the year of the toolchanger. Will Bambu compete with this performance?
I own 4 BLs (P1S, A1 mini, A1, H2D) and a Snapmaker U1. Edit: and I've owned and built others since 2012 or so. The BL software is better but it's not substantially better (computer-side). The mobile app is a lot better, but the Snapmaker mobile app is fine. Just not as many features. BL is the winn

First 3d Printer Snapmaker U1 or P2S
You're asking in a Snapmaker subreddit, so you'll get Snapmaker recommendations. Many people will tell you the opposite in the BL subreddit. But: I'm one of many who own a U1 and also own BL printers (P1S, A1 mini, A1, H2D). I don't own the P2S but I think I can speak with a fair bit of relevant exp

Which 3d printer should i buy?
For $1000 get the Snapmaker U1 @ $849. Everybody I know that's bought one has loved it. These Bambu printers are just a ton more wasteful if you're doing color changing. I'd guess for terrains you are.

CORE One L Price increase from April 7th
Honestly, I’m at the point where I’m asking myself if Prusa is still living off its reputation. Back in the day, the i3 MK3S was a game changer for me. Coming from an Anycubic i3 Mega, it felt revolutionary. It just worked — reliable, consistent, amazing print quality. Prusa used to be the benchmark
