Wife told me to get my dumbbells off the floor
I bought them during the pandemic. I use them every single workout anywhere from 10-80 lbs. They’d definitely bust if I tossed them on the ground because of the plastic, so I don’t and they’ve held up very well the last 5 years. I would 100% buy them again. It’s the nuobell brand.

Powerblock pro exp 100 MX evolution 100 Rep x Pepin Nuobell s5100 Ironmaster/eisenlink Rep Pepin probably the highest quality but there are downsides: cage design, high price, janky adder weight system, sometimes plates bind up. MX100 ranked slightly lower on fit & finish but good durability, no cag

Had Bowflex Selecttechs for ~10 years, rock solid for me except they're super bulky and are way behind the times. They were super innovative 20 years ago, now they're just old tech. I own Nuobells (not the new S ones). Excellent product, imo, so long as you don't drop them. Someone asked a couple of

Am I greedy, or the used gym equipment market in Canada is insane?
Yup. Used to be pre-covid I could score some good deals but after that, sellers got greedy and started asking for near retail prices and in some instances the same price as buying brand new. I just saw an ad for an assault runner pro asking $3500. You can pick up a brand new one shipped to your hous

I have the Nuobells and absolutely love them, but they're not the most durable. Mine have held up fine, but I never drop them, which could break the plastic components, and even though I'm careful, they're chipping a bit. Powerblocks are a lot more durable, but personally, I hate the shape of them a

Wish somone told me about Eisenlink dumbells!
I've heard nuobells are quite fragile. So you can't drop them at all.

Reppins. They feel the best like a regular dumbbell and are perfectly balanced with great knurling. Especially now with the cradle and pins update. I think new Pepin's are now just shipping with the updated cradle from the KG version? I'm not sure, but I do know they updated the pins for all of them
