Headphones 2025

The ATH M50x people are recommending is not the best recommendation. Those are GREAT headphones for producers and DJs, however I find they are not the most crisp and enjoyable for casual listening. They are decent enough but not at that hear every "tap, twinkle, bass, crecensdo" level. For a good li

What really good headphones are we using these days? Looking for rec’s from people who know good music.

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD6xx. Incredible headphones, but you’d need an amp. They aren’t Bluetooth, and they are open back. They are super comfortable (better than the Sony XM6 I have that are $450 and hurt my ears after awhile). For $200 plus $100 for an amp, the HD6xx are incredible.

Replacement Headband for HD-580 Recommendation

Audio Sanctuary might have one, otherwise you can try your luck and contact Sennheiser directly. Worst case you could go on ebay and buy an HD 600, 650, 6XX, 660S, 660S2, or 58X headband. There might be 580 headbands there too. They will all fit properly. I wouldn't want to give up on a classic like

Open back recommendations

By far one of the best open back headphones. I've got my original 1997 Sennheiser HD-600, which this listing is a derivative of (modified HD-650 to be precise). Not the easiest to drive, but well worth it. https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx#signupv2

Need advice on Headphones 🎧

Sivga Luan - open back, $300ish, doesnt need an amp (otherwise you may be able to catch the Sennheiser hd 600, 650, or 6xx on sales). Crazy comfort.

Which headphone did you enjoy the most?

Focal Clear for me. Once I heard / had, I was done for home, wired open use. Done. Lots of great other headphones and clears are useless for most of my use cases...need wireless, anc, portable, gym friendly, etc But home use, wired, once I had the focal clear..I was just done looking. LCD 2 classic

Is it better to use two reference headphones (AKG K702 + Sony MDR-7506) or just one high-quality pair (HIFIMAN Sundara) for mixing?

For mixing I need something predictable, detailed and comfortable for long sessions. have a lot of headphones, but the one I use the most for mixing is the drop.com Sennheiser HD-6XX. Its on sale right now for $200. https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx The only downside is that it takes a

Best headphones for gaming?

You want open cans, the HD6XX from Drop is where you should be looking at. Yes they do require an amp, but the results are great for gaming, You don't want closed cans as the lower end bass can become fatiguing, the HD6XX have a great ability to sound whore too. Clamping force is high when you 1st g
