HD 490 PRO or HD 660S2
I actually own both. Short answer: the HD 490 Pro is way more versatile. Comfort is the first big difference. The 490 has larger and deeper cups, lighter clamp, and just more space in general. For long sessions, especially with bigger ears, it’s noticeably easier to live with. Sound-wise, the 660S2

Should I get HD490 PRO or HD660S2 after Audeze Maxwell
My vote is easily for the hd660s2. Own and game/listen to music for way too long everyday, I find myself reaching for the HD 660s2 no matter what. The 490 pros are a stellar can, and proof that Sennheiser can provide the perfect balance of consumer and mainstream in one cans tuning, with a great sou

This arrived today!
If it is not power enough you can make a combination with Zen can 3. A good and powerful combo for almost every pair of headphones. I use it with Sennheiser HD 660S2 and hifiman edition xs.

Do I have bad ears?
Hey there! Just curious, what are you plugging your HD660S2 into? I actually own both the HD660S2 and the wireless HDB630. I drive my 660S2 with a Topping DX5 II amp, and after some burn-in, it definitely doesn't lose to my wireless Sennheisers at all. The thing is, your Accentums have a built-in am

First DAP: FiiO M33 R2R vs HiBy R6 Pro II (2025 Cirrus version) for "British Sound"?
Different players not going to give you noticeably different sound. They just process digital format and output it to your IEMs / headphones. Now THOSE are where the difference is at. Get any player you like with good battery life and research sound profile of headphones that suits your exact needs.

What really good headphones are we using these days? Looking for rec’s from people who know good music.
What are you driving them with? Specific headphone amp, or just with your phone? Here are some recommendations of cans I’ve used in the past few years. I’ll just say that headphones, like speakers, are going to experience diminishing returns as you spend more money. And, like speakers, you should re

So apparently HiFiMAN might be the right brand for me? (According to AI at least)
Thanks man! I'll share with you something you might find interesting then, regrading what you wrote. A couple of days ago I posted something related to this project in the Sennheiser subreddit, someone there replied the following comment, which I then sent to Claude to respond to, I'll copy paste bo

HD800S vs HDB630: Can wireless hang?
Tubes do help the HD 800 S, it becomes more "HD 650-like" by adding some warmth and taking the edge off in the treble. Though it's a much "Softer" presentation than the HD 650 below 4kHz, as shown below. Though, the maintenance needed to upkeep tube amps can be annoying if you're used to solidstate.

Sennheiser HD 660S2 and FiiO BTR17
I don't think the FiiO BTR17 has enough juice to drive the Sennheiser HD 660S2 since they're super power-hungry. That's exactly why I keep mine at home on a proper desktop setup. But if it sounds good to you, enjoy it, man!

Gaming headsets
Sennheiser HD 660s2. They are real good. You’ll need an amp to power them. Get a Fiio K5 Pro and call it a day. Will be a great setup.
