Astro A50 audio is rubbish when I compared with Sennheiser HD 560S
Those are Gen 4 then, not 5. Gen 1 to 4 were Pre Logitech. Gen 5 are great, got graphene drivers and respond very well to EQ and got parametric EQ in the app. Have mines with Stealthz pads and his EQs and they sound and wear amazing. I do agree the HD560s are great, I got the next level up ones, HD5

I am stuck on the pick...
HD 550 and it's not close. The 599 are fine, and the 560S a bit too bright in the treble and physically pretty uncomfortable on my head. The HD 550 is everything the 560S was supposed to be but fell short on. Comparison here: https://daemonxar.com/2026/05/12/sennheiser-hd-550-review-best-alternative

Advice on setting up a home theater with two sets of headphones.
I made the long post to this question in the home theater thread and recommend a few options. I think the Sundaras and HD 560s are both great options, my understanding is they are both more accurate then beyers but I have never listened to beyers. I also mentioned the Hifiman Editions XS which are t

Headset for psvr2
I'm gonna list what I've used with the Globular Cluster : Pulse Elite (wireless) : Meh, you have to put it under the PSVR2, not ideal, and not very comfortable. Gets very hot on the ears and head. On top of that, it puts pressure on the exact spot they are know to break. If you're willing to use a s

HD560S as first open backs
The 560S is ... fine. It's a bit too trebly on my head to be comfortable and the overall tuning isn't very cohesive, especially for a Sennheiser. It's also substantially less comfortable physically on my head than most of the 500 series. As a first headphone, it's ... fine. If you can afford it, the

Wireless headphones for piano practice?
..."Ultra-low latency mode with M1 transmitter (20 ms)" 20 ms == forget it. Under 5 ms could be tolerable. BT doesn't have enough bandwidth. Also the codec may wreck the quality. WiFi at 5 GHz could work, and one wifi audio standard does specify 2.5/5 ms latency, but isn't popular for headphones becaus

Meu DAC/Amp Endgame

Hifiman shootout for music and gaming: Arya Organic, Stealth, Kithara
From Hifiman I have Edition XS, 400SE , I have also Audeze Maxwell 1, Sennheiser HD560S, Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, Astro A50. For gaming , the last three (Sennheiser, TB and Astro) are better especially in sound positioning in FPS. Unfortunately, from them 560S is a little too tight for my head for

Mixing headphone testing - London
Sennheiser HD560s/HD600/HD650 depending on what you are comfortable spending. I used 560s and 650 for most of college in our school's control room. I use Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250ohm for mixing. WIth Oratory's EQ presets, they are kick ass. too bright ootb without eq however. They are 9.5/10 in com
