32" 4K vs 27" 5K for macOS: Screen real estate or text clarity?
Having had both, and having neither currently, the 32” offers more real estate and the text is more than crisp enough. Personal monitors background: Current setup: 2x 27” 4K at home (optimal solution for me). 1440p 27” at the office (not good text clarity) Previous home setups: LG 5K Ultrafine 27” —

Choosing a monitor for my new Mac mini 4
Considering that Apple has sourced panels from both Samsung and LG, you should be able to find something suitable there. I'm using a Samsung M8 4k Smartmonitor which I definitely recommend using the Thunderbolt connection. as the monitor is also a hub and has a ussble webcam which works with Facetim

What 32 inch 4K KVM monitor is best for Mini M4 and PC for productivity - no gaming
It’s not bad at all. I have had 32” monitors before, a Samsung M8 at home and a generic 32” 4K Samsung at the office, and it was very good no issues whatsoever with text clarity. Currently since I moved, in my WFH setup I transitioned to 2x 27” 4K monitors and I can tell you I cannot see the ppi dif

My little corner 🥰
I picked mine up on marketplace from a nice lady who had it in her garage , never even took off the plastic ! Saw kids toys and worried it was scratched but not a single scratch exists , it was a makeshift office from what I could guess ! Used the monitor for like 2 weeks before I started screwing w

Looking to upgrade my setup for productivity + occasional Switch 2 gaming — monitor advice?
The Mac mini was never released with an M3. It went from the M2 to the M4. If you have the smaller newer version it’s the M4, the older design is the M2. Considering the monitor, 4K is a must on MacOS. Due to the lack of sub-pixel scaling you need to have enough ppi for your text to be crisp. 1080 i

Display 27" or 32" 4K for sensitive eyes - eye strain/baking for astigmatism one eye -0.75
I have a Samsung M8 32" 4k monitor and I love it. Very easy on the eyes for me. It's a "smart monitor" so comes with a nice little remote to control netflix and whatever else. Built in speakers that are decent. It's a VA panel and matte. Also comes in a 27" version. I use it for work, relaxing using

Questions about starting with a Mac mini
I connect a Samsung 4k M8 monitor to my Mac Mini's USB-C port. Even the webcam works for Facetime and it even has a built in usb-c hub.

Monitor disconnects when moving my Mac mini — is this normal?
Many Samsung monitors are pretty cheaply made when it comes to connectors. I love my Samsung M8, but if I even breathe on it had, it has momentary disconnects. Also USB-C cable qualtiy has a lot of variation.

Recommendations for a Dakboard monitor?
Highly recommend the Samsung M80 series. It is not only a monitor, but also a smart TV. We have our Dakboard in the kitchen on a rotating mount. When cooking we turn the monitor horizontal and watch tv/youtube etc.

Upgrading to 4k 32” Samsung UJ59
Im running the samsung smart monitor, M8. 32 inch, and can flip both ways, horizontal or vertical. Mouse and keyboard are always hooked up, and DeX-ing my phone gives it heaps of functionality (like a mini PC). Also has office built in, in addition to all the entertainment apps.
