GPD Win 5 will replace my gaming desktop

Consider AR glasses. Very light. I use Rokid max with gpd win 4 and win max 2. Good enough.

What’s your “I always pack this even though no one else does” travel item?

I've used AR glasses for more than 3 years as a wearable display for my phone/handheld gaming pc/laptop. I have come along to the point I don't even need the laptop anymore, as the glasses make a expansive floating display in front of my eyes that covers up my 83" TV from 10 feet away. I carry them

What's a cool versatile gadget you brought along with you?

I go back and forth between my Win 4 and Ayaneo Flip KB (I prefer this control placement over the Win Mini). What makes the handhelds even MORE travel versatile? A set of AR glasses from Rokid/Viture/Xreal. I'm never going back to a regular laptop since the glasses give me a floating display larger

Xreal One - Instant regret

Just my 2 cents: I use rokid max (similar fov) daily for 1.5 years now for gaming and movies. Once i (removed the noce piece and) laid down in a dimmed room, the experience got very good. Especially gaming this way is much more immersive than on any tv or monitor (tried it all), while not bothering

What come next?

I'm already using it how I intended for my purchase- laptop on my face for entertainment and productivity. I've resigned to carrying it in the most compact case I found in order to get online and do work with multiple giant screens wherever I am. Yes, I'm now that weirdo in the coffee shop with this

Which bundle for 2026? Rokid AR Lite Set vs. XREAL One S + Beam Pro

Haven't tried the Xreals, but DO own the rokid gen1 and max 2 bundles with the original station and the Spatial station as well...I also have the viture one xr and neck band. My short answer ...the rokid are better, either version. Beautiful picture, and they just work. I'm not a fan of the station

So what are you guys using for GeForce Now?

Why the Rayneos - if I may ask? I've been seeing these get more hype but for me at this stage, anything called Pro better be higher than 50FOV and these are at 47. For instance, I had my 1st gen Rokid Maxs w 120hz, 50FOV for years and they were just going for $150 for a new set over the BF sales (an

How’s the immersiveness & display going quality of the XReal compared to AVP ?

The AVP has roughly 100 degrees FOV & a resolution of 3660 x 3142 per eye, compared to 57 FOV & 1920x1080 (xreal one pro) or 52 FOV & 1920x1200 (xreal 1S). Obviously not all that FOV & pixels are dedicated to the movie you’re watching, but still - the AVP has the pixel density edge and is clearer. H

Anyone here upgrade from Rokid Max?

Same story. Paid 200€ for the rokid max in 2024 and they have been my primary, daily screen for gaming and movies ever since. Also looking for an upgrade Right now you kinda have to decide between these options: - Xreal One Pro has a solid user experience, big FOV, 3 DOF but is not much brighter as

Did I buy useless glasses

Rokid Max glasses just require a phone that supports USB-C DP alt mode, that is, transmission of DisplayPort video signal over USB-C cable. It is no different if you have bought external USB-C screen, which would have had exactly the same requirement. It is the phone after all that is supposed to pr
