Rocket appartamento tca with the Eureka mignon silenzio. It’s my first machine and absolutely love it!

Which grinder + machine for a home setup? [~€1500]

Sharing an observation as a long-time Rocket Appartamento owner who upgraded. First of all, I wouldn’t say that flow control is necessary (and the massive amount of people regarding the Linea Mini as end-game seem to agree). In fact, if one is only starting their journey into espresso I would say th

Rancilio Silvia Pro X vs Ascaso Steel Duo PID [$2000]

Not exactly true because the boiler size plays a role as well as the general construction of the machine. If there’s more mass to heat up, it will take longer. The Linea Micra needs like 5 minutes if I remember correctly and something like the Rocket Appartamento will be close to 30 minutes.

Inconsistent pressure/heat [Rocket Appartamento]

Rocket appartamento is one the better home espresso machines for under $2k, ordered online delivered to door. For people that aren't handy or have no desire to attempt repairs, it's not unusual to find them in this state. Pretty sure I've seen people on here post finding them cheap at a goodwill eve

Rocket Appartamento. Really good value for money!

Besides the pressure, you can also buy a temperature gauge if you have to TCA. I got one gifted and it really helped to get an overview of the 4 levels of controllable temperature and also see when the machine is actually warm / stable enough to pull shots. Unfortunately that made me realise that th

Sage Barista Pro (built-in Baratza grinder) – worth upgrading to a separate grinder?

Single dosing is the way for home use, personally had the Sage barista express for 4 years then changed for Rocket appartamento TCA with the DF54 grinder and not looked back, would highly recommend the DF54

Is it pointless if I don’t upgrade to a DB machine?

Recently upgraded from a Barista express to a rocket appartamento TCA and the difference is night and day! Really happy with it. So much steam power! The only thing to consider is the long warm-up time of E61 machines but that can be overcome by using a smart plug. Dual boilers are overkill if you m

Looking to dive into espresso [$2000 or less]

Gaggia classic pro (beginner basic) and the Rocket Apartmento (intermediate hobbyist) which will be a bigger learning curve. Not true. The Appartamento will be easier to use than the Gaggia, especially if it is the new "TCA" version. With the Gaggia, you have to deal with the single boiler/dual use

Can I upgrade from my BBE? [$1k-3k]

I have no free time and a rocket appartamento was a great choice for me so maybe that or another E61. No inputs. The only thing you’ll mess with is your grind.

How rich are you? 😂

we’re lucky that my wife and i make pretty good money, but also know that it is not a guarantee that it will last. we always try to get the better/best quality thing though it might cost more up front because it ends up costing less money and waste over the long run than upgrading several times. tha
