Why are you looking at one of Rocket's least expensive and featureless machines with a budget that would afford you to purchase any of their line and most any grinder as well? I'm guessing aesthetics is important based on your two choices, Rocket makes beautiful machines, but the Appartamento would

Buying a New Machine [$2,000]
Out of that list I'd go with the Profitec and would also look at the the ECM Classika or Mechanika. Have had both in various offices and they're fantastic, super reliable machines. As far as I know ECM and Profitec use the same or very similar components, but ECMs are slightly better built/have nice

It's awesome, it's the best value in terms of functionality for the price by a lot. Of course it doesn't feel as sexy as a Rocket Appartamento, but it's either or

Issues with brand new machine [Stone Espresso Lite]
Have owned and maintained an Appartamento for quite a few years and can confirm the case screw placement makes me feel like one of the engineers at Rocket has a personality disorder.

Which one would you pick? (Appartamento vs. Pro 500) [$1600 CAD]
As a die-hard Rocket Espresso fan: go for the Profitec. I have an Appartamento that got retired to a summer house - lovely machine for ”just making espresso”, but once you want to get a bit more control it doesn’t really allow you (what with the lack of PID etc).

[ECM Portafilter] removing spouts possible?
Same with Rocket Appartamento. I tried, but simply could not move it. I think I found on Google that it's possible with a vice and a lot of strength
