Based on my 5+ years of using a Roborock S5 Max, I can tell you that the idea is not to wait for those hairs and dust to accumulate at the corners. I haven’t had such issue up till now .I checked it has some kind of spring so that it bounces out whenever i push it .Maybe it has something clogged inside you can check .I have opened my previous roborock s5 max as it had some battery issues so it’s quite easy to open and check it .
