Reolink or Dahua

I bought wireless Reolink cameras (E1 Zoom, TrackFlex), as it'd be cost prohibitive to drag PoE. It's a bloody mess with Frigate. There are all sorts of encoding issues and I'm having to do software re-encoding for it to work. Also, the Frigate-based autotrack doesn't work. The cameras themselves ar

My honest review about Tapo camera

C230 is low end cheap camera and you are saying it's the best they have the C250 and C260 which are the new recent models and you are comparing to reolink models that cost 200+, even the E1 pro costs 50 are you using the app on other phones with the same account? I never had that kind of problem onl

Reolink cameras with protect

I have just bought a Reolink e1 pro. It works perfectly with UniFi protect including ptz . You do not need to add an sd card to the camera Edit: running protect on my cloud gateway fiber

Recommendations for a Long-Duration, Low-Cost Recording Device?

several challenges here.. you're trying to resolve a behavioral issue with technology - which rarely works. your neighbor is already falsely filing noise complaints when you're not home. if your landlord doesn't accept that you've not been present for several of their complaints, trying to "convince

Now we’re being harassed

Man, I remember seeing your previous post. Crazy that this is still going on. How do these people have the energy to keep going with this shit? If you have the means, I'd get an indoor camera with a sizeable SD card and have it set up in a common living area (like your livingroom). You can save the

Good RTSP camera for my LAN Website.

UPDATE! I got Reolink E1 PRO for 39 pounds (I'm based in the UK) and it's working great. I've set up Home Assistant like some of you suggested, and integrated the camera easily. (Turned off UID, so that it all stays local)

Sharing an AI camera project that failed due to incorrect workload assessment.

That's why I am confused he had to shut it down. No disrespect to OP but he could've solved this thing in a month and not a year. Buy an indoor IP camera (reolink e1 pro) and run AI models on it through fastapi. But in regards to the RPi it depends on the algorithm OP is using, but a regular raspber

Any recommendations for just 2 motion activated cameras on a closed loop system?

Reolink E1 Pro. Use with Wi-Fi 6. Buy 2 or more if you want. Maybe get the Reolink hub if you want more storage. Make sure to manually update the firmware, google what that means, it is important for this brand. They have pet/animal detection and you will be using that non stop to easily find when a

Indoor camera with continuous recording

Reolink E1 Pro is perfect for this, plugs in, records 24/7 to an SD card, and you can toggle continuous recording on/off right from the app. No subscription needed. I use one for a similar situation and it’s been rock solid. Just pop in a 128GB card and you’re set.

Reolink cameras load slow when connected to Scrypted

Not using scrypted but another software NVR. I have a reolink e1 pro indoor. What I've noticed is that the CPU on the e1 goes to over 90% utilization which of course slows down the responsiveness of the camera. What I've done is use only a single stream (the sub low stream) for the NVR and also turn
