Doorbell Camera recommendation

I only use Reolink cameras now. I keep SD cards in them but also have a blueiris server. The app is free. No fees, no nagging for "premium ultra etc" Just working cameras. The app is quick. I can get a notice either from someone walking up to my door bell or from them ringing. Often I am fast enough

Best wireless outdoor cameras without subscriptions

The reolink Altas Pt Ultra is the only camera in the market, that I'm aware of, that is battery powered and that can record 24/7 to some degree. Any other wireless camera can't record 24/7, they just record motion/detection events. IMO, for a battery powered camera there is no better solution than t

Trying to find a security camera

For a remote spot, look at the Reolink Go PT Ultra or the Eufy 4G LTE Cam S330. Both use a SIM card to connect directly to cell towers and come with built-in solar panels so you never have to charge them. Or trail cam is another good option.

Those who jumped ship, please suggest Arlo alternative you are happy with. I have 24 cameras and I’m just fed up.

I second Reolink. I went wireless with three Argus PT Ultras. I’m not too nerdy about cameras myself, so I’m not going to get into specs, but they seem to work pretty well. Motion tracking, night vision, no subscription, a fairly user friendly app, solar charging options and recordings are saved on

Recommended security cameras?

Anything Reolink is my suggestion. I got the Altas PT Ultra myself for the back garden and it’s top notch.. quality is perfect day or night, charged by solar and runs 24/7. App is really easy to use, lots of features and easy to access past events. No subscription required as it records to an SD car

Looking For Outdoor IP Camera

For this very same thing I use REOLINK First 4K Solar Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor, Argus PT Ultra+Solar Panel, with 360° Pan Tilt Auto-Tracking. I use this to watch which birds are at the feeders. On a larger screen it may be a bit grainy.

My dream setup is done

I have some Aqara g2h and g3 around the house where no Ethernet is available. Will swap them for g4 instant probably. But want something decent for the outside. Was thinking of the g5 ultra turret for the garden and maybe a g6 in front of the house … Price makes me think of going the reolink route a

Two hours on hold. Good bye arlo.

Hold onto those Pros, they are the last of the Arlos that work. If you upgrade you will be have endless frustrations with them. I’ve had lots of Arlo cameras models since 2013 and the last few years since they make you pay high subscription prices they have gone to crap and don’t work well. I just s

Arlo is not user friendly, do not buy Arlo if your money matters to you.

Totally agree with you! I’ve had Arlo since 2013 with many different models that worked great without a subscription. When the got greedy a few years ago making you pay expensive subscriptions it all went to sh!t. The latest model really suck and nothing works a subscription which is way to expensiv

Securities cameras getting stolen as a prank?

I’d look into a camera with local storage on an SD card and a battery backup, or better yet, a Reolink Altas PT Ultra. It records 24/7 to an internal SD card even if the WiFi is cut. Also, hide a trail cam (the kind hunters use) high up in a tree, they’re battery-powered, camouflage, and don't need
