Current Upgrade Thoughts

If you're fully aware of the compromises of the Gallery display (lower contrast, flashing for color updates, etc.) and would use the color/frontlight, then yeah it's nice. The Pure is also a great device, CPU is about twice as fast as the rM2, double the RAM, way more storage, the screen refreshes a

Considering to buy a remarkable paper pure

Yes, you can swipe up/left/right a PDF to get more space in the margin to write. You don't need a paid Connect subscription to send a PDF. You don't even need a reMarkable account if you want to use the USB web interface to send docs. No, you cannot convert to text in a PDF. But you could select the

Loved the Pro and Move, wanted to Love the Pure.... considering Manta

I think we're going to hear more about this wearing in as time goes on. I have a Pure that has a sticky/scratchy region in the upper right (I love that part). The rest of the screen feels exactly like the Paper Pro to me. I'm suspicious that there's a little bit of an inconsistency in the screen tex

Paper Pure vs. Manta

Thanks for calling this out, that has been the general consensus from many about that 300 ppi thing. Its a passed around talking point, while true, especially with the Pure and contrast similar I have both and I feel contrast on the Pure is crisper than the Manta. My manta was slow at opening larger

Purchasing advice: Pro or Pure?

TFT (thin-film transistor) is the backplane of the display. That bit is similar tech to LCDs, controls voltage to the individual pixels to drive the e ink particles. Early Paper Pro panels seem more prone to yellowing and complete failure than newer ones. If you get the manufacturer warranty, I woul

Has ReMarkable ever officially addressed the Paper Pro yellowing issue?

It happens with the Move as well. The Pure is black and white, right? So different tech, and it might be fine if you don't need color. I remember going to Best Buy for a replacement pen for my RMPP and the Move had just come out so they had one on display. The screen was very yellow, and cracked to

I’m building Dayfolio: a complete smart planner for reMarkable Paper Pro with calendar sync, linked meeting notes, and recurring meeting navigation - feedback welcome

Thanks for the feedback. Since this post, we’ve added a new Black & White / High Contrast mode specifically to improve readability on reMarkable 2 and Paper Pro/Paper Pure in grayscale. It avoids relying on calendar colors and uses stronger contrast instead, so calendar entries should be much easier

Update: Replacement Pure has the same writing accuracy issue

cr8tvt - Not sure what is going on. Tried today and it's perfect on my RMPP, I have reset the device a few times since the last update trying to clear the ghosting issue it has since the last update, so that may have done something to clear the offset. Only getting a lot of the "green" ghosting now
