I used to like Remarkable, but time to move on?
The reMarkable devices are distraction-free note-taking devices that excel at that singular function. A Kindle Scribe is an ereader with limited note-taking features. Last I checked (I have the 2022 version) it is still in 2026 not up to the same features the RM2 had in 2022. Plus Amazon has abandon

I just want an electronic notebook. Is Remarkable2 for me?
The rM2 is a very stable device with no major hardware issues. All the issues you read about are with the Pro series of devices. The software is limited for all models. But if all you're using this for is a single notebook, you will find the lack of features to be very beneficial. You're basically d

Pure/2
$280 isn’t that good of a deal for an rM2. I got one with a leather folio and basic marker for $180 not that long ago. The hardware is aging but solid (in terms of failures), and reMarkable has committed to another 5 years of software updates for it. I wouldn’t pay $550 for a secondhand Pro (again 😅

Should I still get RM 2 even after it got discontinued?
If you can find an rM2 for $150 go for it. reMarkable has committed to providing software updates for 5 years after end-of-sale, so you’re looking at updates through 2031.

New Paper Pure Leak!
Boox has literally launched more products in the last year than reMarkable has in their entire history. This is the successor to the reMarkable 2.

So what do you think?
I think it's a worthy successor to the rm2. It improves on it in all the right areas (design language more in line with current lineup, smaller footprint, better battery life and a faster SOC with more RAM) while still being different enough to the Paper Pro as to not make for an unfocused lineup of

Should I return the RM2 in hopes of the Paper Pure?
The writing feel of the Pure will be different from the rM2. If you can try out writing on a Paper Pro or Paper Pro Move at Best Buy, that's what the Pure will feel like. If you paid full price for the rM2, you might consider returning it and go for a refurb from reMarkable for $80 off compared to n

Very good experience
It makes me happy to see your post. I find that too many people are complaining about too many things here before they actually have spoken to the company. My experience with reMarkable is a very good one. I am an early adopter of the rM2, am now using the rMPP and rMPPmove and whenever there was a

One product that has made the most impact in your life since diagnosis
Electronic notebook. Specifically, I use the reMarkable 2. My job is heavy on note taking and task management, and this device works incredibly well to help me organize my notes. I used to be flipping through spiral notebooks looking for things, dropping balls left and right, but now everything is s

Holiday gifts, no budget (within reason)
If money is no issue, ReMarkable is a great gift for leadership. I worked for CEO of a tech company in the Bay and a lot of the C-suite had one. Link: https://remarkable.com/products/remarkable-2?region_id=000840&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21002313567&gbraid=0AAAAACTQ8CxaiTeWKcECOSDPKOQWrnUUy
