reMarkable's Excuses for Business Failure
I ordered six reMarkable 2 tablets between 2022 and 2024 for our company as an IT admin. While they definitely have their upsides compared to an iPad, the following experiences were dealbreakers for us: 3 out of 6 devices had to be sent in for RMA, and the RMA process was honestly pretty bad. We’re

Thoughts on replacing a rM2 for a Supernote Nomad?
rM2 has better hardware and hardware feel and is bigger, and feels more premium. The Nomad has a much much better software experience than the rM2. I personally switched from rM2, after 6 years, to Nomad and I'm loving the nomad, even the writing feels better. I don't think the subscription nor the

Remarkable 2 is it worthy in 2026
reMarkable 2 is incredibly over-priced now at MSRP. It’s 6 year old hardware with a 13 year old panel. I expect they’ll reach end of sale this year. They can be found for around half that on the secondhand market. No one knows anything about the rumored new device other than what that single tweet c

will he survive?
The rM2 is not very repairable. I suppose give it some time to fully dry out, then try holding the power button for 15 seconds, releasing, then holding for 3 to see if it powers on. reMarkable will do an out-of-warranty swap on the rM2 for around $160.

Is the Viwoods AIPaper a good fit for me?
I presently own a reMarkable 2, Boox Note2, & an AiPaper. The reMarkable 2 has long been a staple in the E-Ink market, but it is currently hampered by aging hardware and a restrictive subscription model that gates basic cloud syncing features. With only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, it str

You can't buy reMarkable 2 anymore?!
What killed my interest in reMarkable devices the most is that they stopped using EMR pens. I have zero interest in switching there. They work great and I like that I can use the same pens with all my devices, from a Wacom graphics tablet to my e-ink readers. After buying the rm2 I picked up the fir

RMPP
Considerations: The rMPP blinks and flashes like a disco when you work with colour. Each stroke is drawn in black, then it flashes in your chosen colour, then it flashes again to add depth to that colour. That's per stroke. All that flashing adds up. If that doesn't bother you, read on. the rMPP is

Disappointed or only sad?
Although it's not the best experience, I know reMarkable will look into it and send an update once they figure out what's causing it. In the mean time, I did the rM2 hack of letting the battery drain while using it and I let it sit for a few moments and then slow charged it through my computer. It h

Remarkable 2 discontinued?
Appreciate the response, I'm new to e-ink writers although I've been with kindles for years. I did some research for what to get used at a decent price and found a used OG Scribe. Everything you listed are reasons why I didn't look at the reMarkable

Is it worth buying?
Hi there. To say reMarkable is better than Boox or Kindle or ipad - I can sort of understand. But imo it has literally ZERO advantage - and massive disadvantages - over quaderno. For example the subscriptions model and horrible quality control (shattered screen of rM2 and dead pixels of rMPP) People
