Are Razer laptops really that defective?

Online, you’ll only see a filtered version of reality as it’s only the minority with (admittedly legitimate in many cases) complaints who take the time to come online and complain about it. The vast majority of people have no issues. Personally I’ve had a Blade 15 and now a Blade 16, and both have b

Compatibility with dual booting Ubuntu

I haven't dual booted on a Blade. I have a 2022 Blade 15 and I've used Ubuntu on it for a little over a year straight (back on Windows now). The driver support was actually pretty good. Nvidia has official driver support. I had to enable it in the Additional Drivers menu and switch to the proprietar

Just bought Razer Blade 4090 2023

Hey, I have a Razer Blade 15 Adv 3070ti i7 12800h, I have owned it since 2022 without any issues and decent care to cleaning fans etc. I bought it initially for university and gaming on the side and it had decent battery life when I used throttle stop and optimized my windows 11, maybe 3-6 hours dep

Blade 14 or 16 after Blade 15

Had a Blade 14 3060, then a G15 4080, now the Blade 16 5090. If I did it over again I think I'd stick with the G15. Loved the Blade 14 for its portability, but it was never more than average performance-wise and the screen just felt small. The Blade 16 is an amazing desktop replacement, as long as y

Advice: Razer Blade 14 (RTX 5070) vs MacBook Pro M5 (24GB) vs MacBook Pro M4 Pro (24GB) — Paris

I had a Razer Blade 15 with Rtx 3070 for 4 years or so and now I have a MacBook pro 14 m4. I used the Razer mainly for gaming, some office stuff and cad (siemensnx and fusion360). It was really powerful and could do everything I needed. But the power also came with trade offs. It could only use its

Is this Razer Blade RTX 2080 Q-Max worth it in 2025?

I own a Razer Blade 15 Advanced with the 2080 Super Max-Q. 500 AUD is about 300 bucks, I paid nearly 1000 for mine around 2 years ago. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat if it's a functional model with minor wear. I will say, the 2080 Max-Q isn't an amazing GPU nowadays. But it's fine for what it is. t

Razer Laptop on Mr Robot

I do want to be able to do casual gaming but the better display, speakers and power efficiency in recent MacBook are tempting, I hear that gaming is getting better on Apple Silicon too and if an M5 can pump out even half the frames of a 5080 Laptop GPU it feels like I'd be better off with the former

Is this year's 14 as bad as it sounds? This is the one I was wanting to order.

I got a replacement battery for my 2020 Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition off Amazon, it's the exact same cell just from a third party manufacturer, I bought it about a year ago, cost me ~$100 I think. Honestly, with my Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q, Intel i7-10785H, 32 GB Ram, and 1 TB Samsung M.2 NVME
