What I want does not exist. Prove me wrong!

Qidi did take responsibility. They made a software patch while they figured out how they should do a real fix. They stopped production, then sent out replacement SRRs and shipped fixed units after that. Idk what they did for the reviewer but I know that they spent a bunch of time and money getting t

Max 4 in lieu of Core 1 L?

I’ve had a fantastic experience with my Qidi printers. My Q2 with box has been the best of all of my printers so far and their customer service is really really good. I have a MAX4 combo on order and I can’t wait for it to arrive. I can purchase any machine I want and I chose that one based on my ex

Cancelled Max 4 Preorder

Nope. If you want a guarantee of fewer issues, don't preorder. The Q2 definitely had fewer issues than the Plus4 and we can hope the Max4 will continue the trend, However, a bigger printer generally means more room for problems. Unless you absolutely need the volume right now, just give it a little

Qidi Box! My first impressions...

Nice prints! Glad to see another positive story about the box. Mine has worked great since day one and I’ve had no concerns with it. I completely agree about the noise level, it’s not nearly as bad as people make it out to be in videos, especially with the lid closed. You can barely hear it clicking

Good Bambu Lab X2D alternatives?

How much of your concern is the principle of supporting Bambu considering their business practices vs the practical implications of their restrictions? As Jeffpi suggests, there are ways to work around using their interface, BUT that might mean you won’t be able to update to later firmwares down the

I just order my Qidi Max4 for the collection

That’s a lot of printers lol. like others have said buying the plus 4 is redundant if you already have a Q2 and max4. I say this as a Plus4 owner for over a year w/QIDI box. For me I had to also add the beacon and tinker with a bunch of other stuff to get higher quality prints. If anything, skip the

Plus 4 with the Qidi Box

I recently acquired a used plus 4 that had the Qidi box with it. The guy couldn’t get it to work. He said the Qidi box needed tinkering etc. I got the Qidi plus 4 with 3 new plates, and a few spare parts along with Qidi box and 8-9kg Qidi branded abs for $200. I wanted to tinker and learn more about

ADVICE: Wanting to purchase the X-Max 3

Yeah, I wouldn't buy an X-max 3 at this point. They are well built printers, but the firmware is multiple years behind and QIDI has no plans of updating it. I personally am putting FreeDi on my Q1, Max3 and Plus4, and will check back in on the Max4 in a years' time. And to that end, I'd wait for at

Max 4 in lieu of Core 1 L?

My Plus 4 has hands down been the most beastly engineering filament printer I've ever come across or used. Imo there is NOTHING that comes close to the performance even for multiple more money. It is a better industrial spec printer than industrial spec printers🤣 absolute beast , And Qidi has been o

Core XY Open Source Printer other than Prusa?

Understandable, people tend to have more.. hyperbolic reactions regarding Chinese companies. Just to add a bit to the other side of the story:Their design is not more dangerous than other printers. I do think the chamber heater SSR board of the Plus4 is badly designed, especially when it comes to th
