According to the ASR review (LINK), the amp is slightly reactive to the speaker loading. The treble increases with an 8 Ohm load. This would still apply at the 6 Ohms rating of the 3020c, only to a slightly lesser degree. Add in to that the mix: the clear top end of the speakers vinyl surface noise
