At my wits end with setting up remote access

I was on CGnat and was unable to be taken off. I set up PureVPN with the port forwarding option and I was able to use remote access

Surfshark

Surfshark does not support port forwarding, so it's a poor choice to use with Bittorrent. PIA, Proton, or PureVPN would be better choices, as they support port forwarding.

I read one thread about public wifi risks and now I can't stop thinking about it at coffee shops

Every time I use public wifi, I simply use a VPN, but the free ones are usually terrible. Last Black Friday, I purchased one for about $1.70 a month. Since Black Friday is coming up and practically everyone has some campaigns, get a VPN service so you won't have to worry about it. PureVPN works well

Plex + Starlink + Proton VPN = indirect connection(s)???

I use PureVPN with port forwarding (bought a really cheap multi year plan years ago, not planning on renewing) to get around my providers CG NAT. Moving to Turkey – looking to self-host my own VPN in the US

VPNs are not strictly banned in Turkey, some mainstream ones are but not all of them. I'm using FastestVPN and PureVPN without any issues. Also I have several self hosted wireguard instances which have been working fine for years.

Doubt on subscription

Use a VPN with free or paid... I don't know about free version VPNs, but I'm using PureVPN, which is very cheap at 1100 Rs for 2 years validity. and am watching any content without interruption from India's OTT content.

One coding error just gave hackers the master key to 40,000 servers

I’ve been using PureVPN for a bit now, and honestly it’s kinda underrated. Works well for streaming, and I haven’t really run into any major issues so far.
