Hearth rate sensors on upper arm
Wrist sensors are vulnerable to cadence lock, where the watch thinks your running cadence is your heart rate (so instead of showing 125 it says your heart rate is 165 which is clearly wrong). I have a Coros Pace 3 and this was an extremely annoying problem for me. It didn't matter how tight the watc

Doubt whether to buy
That’s exactly how I use my Polar Loop. I wear my V3 for training sessions, and when I get home I synch it, turn it off (saves battery life), and put on my Loop for the rest of the day. Since the latest firmware updates I have found the Loop’s heart rate tracking and sleep tracking to be flawless. A

Polar HRM compatible wrist watch?
There’s three basic options that meet his needs: A Polar watch, using the optical heart rate measurement in the watch itself. Main advantage is simplicity (no chest strap or other sensor needed). He would just have to press a couple of buttons to start and stop a workout. A Polar heart rate sensor u

Verity sense vs H10
Quantified Scientist recommends Sleep2-app paired with a Polar sensor (VS or H10). It is actually one of the most accurate Sleep stage trackers. I would recommend the VS (Verity Sense) because it is much more comfortable (during sleep) and the accuracy in heart rate tracking is almost as good as the

Do you turn Verity Sense off after every workout?
I don't believe Garmin have any other devices with a HR sensor but not the watch bit. The sales assistant was probably referring to the HRM Fit which is clipped to a bra. It's essentially a standard chest strap just using part of the bra to complete the strap, but like you say, fit isn't amazing. I

Polar H10 Apps for Heart Rate / HRV / Sleep Hygiene / Mental Well-being
Hello OP! Did you also test optic sensors recently? I also need to record my heart rate continuously during the night (bradycardia) and I was considering the Polar Verity Sense (optic sensor for the arm). It seems quite a good sensor and I would spare to apply the gel every night. Otherwise I was al
