Make sure you like Polar's app and web setup first. I don't mind it but the presentation is dated and a turn off for a lot of people. If you change your mindset about "steps" a little bit and think more in terms of a general activity tally, yes it'll track "steps". In some ways Polar's approach here

It really depends on what you want a Polar Loop for. Polar Loop is great at tracking your health stats and sleep. If I’m doing an indoor workout I like to start it on my phone so I can see my HR zones better than on my Garmin watch. I used to do that with my H10 and Polar Beat. I find the Polar Loop

What do you not like about the flow app and what do you expect?If you are in sports and fitness tracking, the flow app is absolutely ok and the loop will deliver good results.If you want some fancy AI stuff or lifestyle things (awareness) and food logging, the polar system will not be right for you.

Congratulations on your Polar Loop!! I absolutely love mine, but I read the manual and did the research before purchasing to make sure it fit my needs. I find the people most disappointed with it are the ones that didn’t understand what it was and what it does. It’s such a great little device!
