The only issue is the format in itself, so PDF. I recently tested a 8mb PDF from archive.org for a user here, and it crippled my Verse Pro - on the other hand did I test a high quality 500mb PDF I created myself, and it ran almost as well as an epub. Are you sure that you can change font in reflow-m

If manga is important to you, I would recommend the InkPad 4 and forget about anything regarding ergonomics. Size is important if you don't want to mess with zooming, and even 8" can get - depending on the manga - rather small (small text bubbles with small text). Additionally is manual zooming (wit

It is what it is, you shouldn't pay so much attention to version numbers, it's likely that PocketBook just messed this up or different devices have different software iterations, and can't be compared to each other, I don't know. Until around two weeks ago, all of my three devices had slightly diffe

No, PocketBook and Kobo just do have different priorities. I would say Kobo offers a more stable and basic OS, while PocketBook offers more features, but also add some... quirks and irks? 😂 Also does Kobo may have better programmers, while PocketBooks is more friendly in adding new features. And the

Any ereader (e-tablet/enote) will have flaws, no matter how much money you spend. It's different compared to e.g. to TVs, where you only get the best if you spend a certain amount of money. In the end it's about what you want to do with your device, not how much money it costs (screen size, colour y

The question colour or not can only be answered by yourself, and you already did it. If you are willing to accept the disadvantages, try it out. Even if you find people who agree that it's worth switching to colour, you could be disappointed, and even when I tell you I would never buy a colour devic

That's interesting, I use the Pocketbook Verse Pro Color and noticed something similar. Koreader reads through regular epubs, OPDS books, and manga and webtoons on Rakuyomi extremely fast, absolutely no problem opening those files or navigating them at all. But PDFs are a very different experience.

Every PocketBook on from Verse Pro (only via Bluetooth), and both Eras and InkPads (so their each b/w & colour variants) also via one integrated speaker. But don't expect much from the quality, I compared it once to google tts and it's similarly bad/good. Kobo doesn't allow sideloading of audiobooks

That's because you don't have this update yet; only the InkPad 4 & the Era Color got it until now (it seems to be combined with the added Libby feature), the Verse Pro & Era not. PocketBook isn't fast regarding updates, so I can't tell you anything about a possible time frame when it arrives to the

A 6" smartphone can't be compared to a 6" ereader since eink is by design slow. I guess a typical eink screen on a non-Android device runs at around 5-10 fps, and eink devices additionally need refreshes to eliminate ghosting (Android devices have faster eink-modes, but which reduce quality, so it's
