I don't know how "blue" the light on the Basic Lux is, but I guess not that blue since you can't change colour temperature (just a guess). The standard Verse can adjust colour temperature, and since you can keep an ereader for years, whatever you pay more will in the long run be not even that much.

The question colour or not can only be answered by yourself, and you already did it. If you are willing to accept the disadvantages, try it out. Even if you find people who agree that it's worth switching to colour, you could be disappointed, and even when I tell you I would never buy a colour devic

Like I said, "start around" and also depends where you live. PocketBook recently released a budget version of the PocketBook Verse called PocketBook Verse Lite. It strips buttons & SD card slot, has smaller battery than the standard Verse and also doesn't have warm light. It usually is around 100€ w

Kindle books can only be read on a Kindle or an Android ereader. Books bought or got anywhere else can be read on any device, incl. Kindles (except ones with Adobe DRM, these can't be read on a Kindle). It's your choice where you get your books from, but be sure that removing Amazon DRM (to read you

Just some last infos: If you decide for a device from PocketBook, stay away from the Verse Lite; while it has the same panel like the Verse, they stripped/reduced other hardware features. And the Verse & Verse Lite only have 212ppi (which was for me at least not really of a problem, and not for you

I think the InkPad Lite it is more or less OK; I already wrote about the ppi a 4K 27' monitor has, and therefore I suspect the screen is... OK-ish? But for me it is important that you are at least relatively sure about what you possibly are getting when buying it (it's still hard, up to impossible,

Do not take the Pocketbook verse lite. It is too slow. Take the pocketbook verse pro only, it is much fast and has a better screen and it does not cost much more (I think). (I got this for my mom and shes happy with it.) Only problem, their store does not have everything, but you can always see if y

If top priority is screen quality, sharpness, clarity, and longevity, then in the “Verse family,” the PocketBook Verse Pro is the safer choice compared to the PocketBook Verse Lite or the basic PocketBook Verse. The Lite and base versions feel like compromises, especially regarding display technolog

Oh, found this post today by accident, but maaaaybe a bit too late, but still gonna answer to it (because it's you xD): -Device should be as big as possible, so InkPad 4, no colour device if you want the best black & white experience -CBZ works perfectly in stock reader, you don't need KOReader for
