Buying e-reader for the first time
If you plan on reading manga I would skip the color version. I’ve had the InkPad color 3 and ended up returning. I still have a pocketbook InkPad 3 and the screen is still better for reading manga. Color is nice but unless you really need it I would skip it. The screen is darker and it’s not as shar

Boox, please refresh the tab mini c with the SOC + BSR chip from the Note Air 5C
it cannot. it is two layers at minimum. the InkPad Color 3 does not have stylus support so it is probably using one of the displays you linked. perhaps Meebook bought up the last stock of that display, I don't know. but if it is the Tab Mini C display, even with updates the ghosting on it would be p

Best colored e-ink reader for manga that doesn't cost a fortune?
No options for non-Android ereaders with SD card slot (only the 6" PocketBook Verse has an SD card slot), and your options (7" or bigger, since you want to read manga) are limited to the 7" Kobo Libra Colour & the 7" PocketBook " Era / Era Colour & the 8" PocketBook Inkpad 4 / InkPad 3 Color. And ho

Pocketbook Inkpad 4 vs. Pocketbook Inkpad Color 3: How to Chose?
Thanks for the answer :) I agree about the Kaleido screens, I have an InkPad Color 3 that I plan to return. I don't like how dark it looks with the frontlight turned off. Do you also read single column PDFs, say textbooks or something on it? I have been eyeing the Boox Go 7 as well but I suppose it

Anyone ordering the InkPad One?
I'm very interested, I recently had tried an InkPad Color 3 but found it was too small for me and that the color screen had more negatives than positives for my uses, but this seems to check all the boxes. I've only seen Good E-Reader stocking them, as well as Pocketbook's German site. I wrote to th

Trying to decide on upgrade from a dying Kobo Clara HD
The InkPad Color 3 is physically the same as the InkPad 4, and I'm not interested in color, and the Era is smaller than I'd like. The Kobo Sage is the other 8 inch model with specs that look good to me, but it's been discontinued.

7" or bigger Color e-reader with PLASTIC screen: Kobo Libra Color ?
Thanks again for your thorough reply. Actually, I'm not looking for an e-note. It's just that I'm unable to find what I'm looking for and I have a device that I no longer use that does the job for now (the battery life is really awful though). The Remarkable Paper-Pro is far too expensive and has to

Lazy ereader selection question (apologoies)
Reviewers compare the PocketBook InkPad Color 3 to a "Tab Mini C", because of the same (larger) screen, and that Boox would then be Android, and still have a somewhat larger screen (I've always been put off when seeing these miniscule ereaders that seem to be standard). But that seems to be a chimer

Anyone who switched back from Pocketbook to Kindle (Paperwhite)?
Me. I had the Inkpad Color 3. I found it way too dark, especially (weirdly) under sunlight. I did like the openness and UI of Pocketbook's OS so I researched other models, however i didnt find anything suitable. The Inkpad 4 is too old now and reportedly slow, plus the extra screen layer makes the c
