Pocketbook InkPad 4 cant detect USB drive
PocketBook advertises OTG, but in practice the InkPad models are quite picky: I think most only work with small, low‑power sticks and often only with FAT32, not large 256 GB exFAT drives. I’m not with my PBip4 right now, but I’ll try later and let you know what works (or not) with mine.

Which e-ink reader supports all of these features (PDF + EPUB)?
You just described the PocketBook Era (or InkPad 4, if you need bigger than 7" screen). Accounts are optional to use PocketBook, unless you have a book that has DRM protection. Even for that, just an Adobe ID is needed to read those. The built in dictionary for English is not great, but you can load

E-Reader Upgrade Advice: Need a Lighter, More Manga-Friendly Device (Kobo Libra 2 User)
I guess literally every device will likely be more heavy. Both Libras have a recessed screen (so a thin plastic layer on top), almost every 7"-8" device has a glass front which adds weight. The only device I know that is 8" and has a recessed screen (so no glass front) is the 8" PocketBook InkPad 3

Best E-Reader To Switch Away From Amazon?
There's no best ereader, no matter what people tell you. Only what's best for your use case. Since you mentioned notes, I limited myself to this: I would say PocketBooks are, at least compared to my Kobo Clara, overall slower. Which is something I don't care about, but is relevant to footnotes (and

8inch + reader recommendation for manga
8" InkPad 4 or 10" PocketBook InkPad One (no buttons). What do you mean with reflow regarding manga? Even if you have OCRred text, you likely will only see text this way (I have no way to test this, so this is a guess). And PDF can be a huge issue (high quality PDF scans - when these are officially

Rec for new ereader (looking for: no Amazon, physical buttons, bigger screen)
I've seen pictures of some of the older Kindle models here... also some with a full keyboard iirc. Would be nice if replying with pictures was possible in this sub, since it not unusual that people post pictures of their ancient (mostly Sony) ereaders, but then people can only reply with text instea

Which tolino e readers support conversion to kobo’s software?
If you bow your head to Amazon... it's still possible to use a Kindle 😅 As long as Amazon is in control, you books seem to stay on your device. Funnily they are also the master of keeping bought books at Kindle on Kindles, they have the best DRM control - ADE (Adobe Digital Editions - used outside o

E-Reader
8" InkPad 4. Ich würde dir, egal was du kaufst empfehlen, nicht unter 8" zu gehen und Farbe zu vermeiden. PocketBook hat gerade ein 10" schwarz/weiß ereader veröffentlicht (wichtig: kein Android e-tablet), der von der Größe wohl perfekt ist und der dich - da kein Android-Gerät - mit einer Ladung übe

Tips reading Manga on Pocketbook Era Color?
I have an InkPad 4, so zooming isn't needed in most cases, but since manual zooming sucks on PocketBooks (so using your fingers), you should - when zooming is needed - experiment with fixed zooming settings, and also possible think about turning the device 90°.

Reading manga in PocketBook
Hey... Thanks for the reply. 🙂 After reading a few manga in my PocketBook InkPad 4 (native app)... it was okay, but I think that the iPad is definitely better for it — bigger screen (not so much the quality of the screen) and because manga files are much bigger and the iPad handles them better.
