Any kind of tube device is fine. The ATC AG including. Just make sure you get a device with the teeth on one end. The smooth devices are no longer recommend since they don't provide enough friction. Get a tuber like petzl verso or similar to learn how to belay and have a good break habd. Once u got that get somethink like a grigri or pinch. I like oinch more than grigri but its not as widely used because its waaay newer than the grigri
