A love letter to the Allpa 20

Omg I’m gonna use the car roof one too, seems more comfortable than getting stuffed into a carryon 🤣 hope the 20 works for you! I tried the famous Allpa 28 & 35, and the Patagonia mini MLC in this category but the 20 was the only one that still looked like a backpack on me not a turtle shell.

Is a Osprey Farpoint 40L + Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC suitable for 4 weeks in Japan/Indonesia?

Three different backpacks would be too much for me, and I wouldn’t choose a large clamshell backpack like Patagonia BH Mini MLC for a day backpack. My recommendation would be to stick to a regular, around 8-20L backpack or a sling for everyday carry. I’d try to make either of these bags work for the

Health challenges and packing: very detailed question.

Ooh, me! Me! This is right up my alley. I have a lot of medical issues but travel with an impatient husband and 10-year-old. Arranging wheelchair service at every airport en route is a pain, and I’ve heard plenty of stories of people being left unable to board or transfer between gates because there

Looking for this CAYL fanny pack (b-grid) / beige

I want that bag to work for me so fuckkkinnnggg bad, ordered both the bathroom and kitchen to compare…. Just a hair to big for a one pack travel on budget airlines. Ended up going with the Patagonia MLC Mini + MLC 45 L system. But boy do I wish.

The 26+6 Problem: Too Much Bag for Too Little Weight

Have you check out the Cabin Fly Bellanca? I recently purchased on from Amazon they have 2 versions one is an expandable backpack which is a 16 x 12 x 4 and expands to 16 x 12 x 6, the other is simply 16 x 12 x 6 both sizes work well for most Asian and European budget airlines. Quality of materials

Bag Finder Megathread - 27 April 2026

Hi everyone, I know this type of post comes up often, but I can't find the information I'm looking for. Context: I will be travelling around Asia for 6 months next year. I need to bring my computer for some professional projects I have. I'm looking for a Travel backpack with these specific character

Backpack recommendations for 3-month Southeast Asia trip

I’m going to be the outlier here. This is going to be a very unpopular opinion. I have the 40L osprey, i also have the 28L cotopaxi, the 35l cotopaxi, and the patagonia mlc. I used them all for a trip or two trying to find the perfect bag. I ALSO have a gregory jade 38L hiking backpack with a front

Can anyone recommend something similar to the fjallraven Farden Carry-on thats around 25L? Looking for new edc bag.

Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC is 30 L, has clamshell opening and a separate laptop compartment. But it's still too big for EDC. Aer Pro Pack 24 L — clamshell, separate laptop compartment, but no outside lash points.

Packing list for a couple and 6-month-in trip report

He’s 6’5” (196cm) so quite a bit shorter than you but I had him try the Patagonia MLC Mini at one point and it looked like a kid’s lunch backpack on him with the hip belt going around his belly button. It really wasn’t the right fit. What’s unique about the ULA Camino is that you can choose the tors

Bag Finder Megathread - 06 April 2026

I am doing 8 days on safari and 3 at the beach. We will be taking small planes between safari lodges, so bag must be soft/no wheels or rails, and we will fly carry on only on the international flights. Based on the smallest dimensions for each leg of our travel I’m looking for something around 21.5”
