Overthinking: G9ii vs S5ii vs GH7 traveling and indoor shooting at higher frame rates

The S5II kit 20-60 isn't the sharpest wide open. It also isn't the fastest. The difference in DOF between Full frame and MFT is 2 stops of aperture. A Panasonic 10-25 F1.7 would actually give you a shallower depth of field and more light than the 20-60. But that is a big expensive lens, and the GH7

Can anyone provide Lumix S1II H.265 & Prores RAW footage?

It's not only a problem of oversharpening, it's mainly a problem of detail filtering and temporal noise reduction. It can be fixed by a firmware update yes, but Panasonic never fixed it on the S5II and S5IIX.

Lumix s5ii owners / nightclub work

Comunq

Is it stupid to go back to MFT?

I bought an S5ii and two lenses (sigma 45 f2.8 and the Panasonic 16-35 s f4) I’m debating stranding them on mkb since none of the lenses really can deliver on the look I can get from the 10-25 f1.7 with a G9ii. Yes, I can shoot a higher iso, but when working professionally, that is never an issue si

Feiyutech Scorp 3 ? Vs

I have the Scorp 3 using a Panasonic S5iiX but it doesn’t have all the support that the Sony cameras have like shutter aperture iso control and I think Sony has tap to focus or something like that but it’s a good gimbal I just can’t use all of the features sadly. The Ai camera tracking works amazing

What is with the S5II/S5IIX noise reduction on chroma channels? (this is what causes green shadows when adjusting exposure in post)

Yup.. i have done that. it's simply down to the software inside this camera, panasonic used more aggressive noise reduction for the s5ii. it's an easy fix for the lumix team with a future firmware update

/r/videography Monthly Camera Buying Advice Megathread

Hi everyone, I’m currently shooting wedding videos with a Fujifilm X-S20. While I love the "soul" and the user experience of the Fuji system, I’m finding myself increasingly frustrated. The autofocus struggles in some of the darker reception scenarios, and the high ISO performance is really starting

Is GH5 sufficient for commercial use?

It's a decent camera for videography. Many professional videographers used that camera and some still do today. However it is old now. I would say the AF is the main limitation. You have to use manual focus for everything. For candid videography for example you would need a follow focus rig, but eve

How to shoot V-Log in low-light with the S5II?

I think the ISO behavior on the Panasonic S5II in V-Log is different from Sony. The native ISOs in V-Log are 640 and 4000. Going above 4000 quickly increases noise, so filming at 8000 or 12800 won’t be less noisy than 6400
