So, does this mean an MFT lens lineup revival?

Idk what camera you are using but my om-3 autofocus is a lot better than my Lumix s5ii and about 80% as good as my canon r8

Which full-frame should I buy? Nikon Z6 III, Panasonic Lumix DC-S5IIX, Canon EOS R6 Mark II, and Sony Alpha 7 IV.I often shoot portraits (fast AF, great bokeh), travel (compact, versatile lenses), and groups (good sharpness, dynamic range).

Well it's good you mentioned affordable lenses because that cuts out Canon. The Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 G2 is a great fast lens that's well priced and light. Should help keep the price down from getting zooms and primes. They're for Sony or Nikon. Lumix have the kit lens 20-60mm and the new 24-60mm F2.8

Full circle, FX3 to S1 II then back to FX3.

Did pretty much the same thing a year ago with the Lumix S5ii. Got caught into hype and grass is greenered my way to Lumix. Missed Sony superior autofocus and customizing features. Sold my Sony kit at a loss for Lumix, realized Sony is my system, sold my Lumix kit at a loss, and bought back in to So

Problems with the S1II

The AF part- 100% my experience (with s5ii at least, the s1ii should be only tad better). The “wide zone +tap to track which actually works and doesnt loose subject” mode on sony is ideal for run&gun/ events and panasonic just makes you concentrate on checking if the focus didnt drifted off instead

Problems with the S1II

I have most Panasonic cameras but also the A7CII and the Z6III. I agree with you about the video processing in H265/H264/Prores. Since the S5II the video engine is pretty bad. The A7CII is just much better. What you said about the people skin is true, when cropping inside the videos, it has smoothed

Lumix still an underdog?

Autofocus has improved considerably but Lumix is still behind major brands. The inability to set custom brackets is baffling, especially if you shoot real estate. In order to get +-3 stops you have to shoot 7 pictures which is extremely annoying. The TTL flash performance is slightly sluggish compar

Is the Nikon Zf a camera worth saving for?

Generally, the 24 mp sensors give great picture quality and low light performance. Af is also great in ZF and forward cause it’s the first expeed7 camera. Very similar to ZF in terms of performance is Z5ii. Lumix S5ii and A7iii A7c would have worse af than ZF but better than Fuji, but be much cheape

S1ii not hitting focus in photography?

S1R has got a DFD AF system that has been developed for more than a decade, S5II has got a brand new AF system made just to appeal shill youtubers and reviewers that are not skilled enough to use DFD AF on older panasonic cameras. It will take a few years but panasonic will fix PDAF and make it as g

Is there a better compact full frame camera than Sony a7cii?

Hahah, the best part is that there are a ton of photographers who made the decision to go crop frame compact, and are now fuming at the implication that that isn't good enough for you. You are correct. Fuji is more about the experience of manual dials and out-of-the-camera Instagram-style filters (e

Overthinking: G9ii vs S5ii vs GH7 traveling and indoor shooting at higher frame rates

The S5II kit 20-60 isn't the sharpest wide open. It also isn't the fastest. The difference in DOF between Full frame and MFT is 2 stops of aperture. A Panasonic 10-25 F1.7 would actually give you a shallower depth of field and more light than the 20-60. But that is a big expensive lens, and the GH7
