Thoughts on Lumix S5iix for video vs what I currently use (Nikon Z8)
Hey there! Full time business photographer videographer here. Looks like you’re hitting the limit of using a hybrid photo camera for long form video. The Nikon Z8 is an incredible camera, but some would say it isn’t built for hour plus continuous recording, especially in a theater environment. Readi

FX30 or FX3 or something else?
An S1ii costs less than an FX3 and outperforms it. If I didn't have Sony glass I'd take that over an FX3 or FX30 any day (I'm still shooting Sony with over 1k paid gigs done on an a7siii/FX3 so not a Panasonic shill, just being objective)

S1Mii body drop to $2356 during the june Promotional Campaign-but still to expensive compare to its competitors
Genuinely confused as to how you could get this so wrong. The S1II and the A7V are the same price currently in the US ($2899), The R6 III is $100 cheaper, Nikon Z8 starts at $3100 used on MPB, and the A1 starts at $3400 used. At $2356, the S1ii a DEAL. Let's break this down: - Photography: all the b

Sony FX5 or Lumix S1ii for videography business? Convince me to buy S1ii.
The S1II has incredible autofocus—a huge improvement over Panasonic’s previous models. I use the S Pro 24-70 and never experienced any issues. It also includes many of the features people had been asking Sony to add for years, like open gate. IBIS is still the best on the market. On top of that, Pan

New LUMIX S1M2NT camera 📸
And S1H did not sell as well as people who keep asking for a Mark II would like to think. Lumix does listen, to its community AND its balance sheet. Panasonic is going to release what makes sense for them. They could have easily called the S1II the S1HII and just left S1II E as S1II. There's a reaso

S1II 60fps 14-bit RAW?
That’s just so wild. $300 more for literally double the speed with the S1II. And somehow Panasonic isn’t taken seriously for photography.

Worried about Panasonic at the International Broadcast Conference
Definitely not! Panasonic is used quite widely amongst content creators and is seen as THE value proposition. The S1H is still one of the only hybrid mirrorless cameras in the Netflix approved camera list and with the S1ii we are now getting Arri log. Let’s not also forget that the L mount alliance

It finally happened: RedxNikon
For the price, the features you get are absolutely insane. “Back in the day” (2015) I spent close to $30K on a RED Epic Dragon that pretty much has the same frame rates and main resolution combinations this tiny little camera now offers for less than 1/10 the price (if we look at things as body only

"Lumix AF Isn't Good Enough for Sports/Action/Wildlife!" An Experiment. || Lumix S1RII + Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8
True, and at the same time I believe Lumix is calculating this very carefully, so to speak. I'm not saying they use too much time on this nonsense but probably within their marketing team they have people who are following what's going on at least to some extent. Keep calm and carry on is their watc

What body should I upgrade to? Concerned about moiré issues when shooting commercial work with the S1 II. More details in the post.
First of all, congratulations in advance. I understand your concerns. However, moiré is not a problem unique to Panasonic. New sharpening systems mean higher sharpness. When you add high megapixel counts to that, moiré inevitably becomes an issue. As you mentioned, Canon cameras have an OLPF filter,
