LUMIX Digital Shotgun Microphone DMW-DMS1

Nice. Thanks for posting this. As always, there is 0 information on the German Panasonic website. Compatible with S1RII, S1II and S1IIE as of February 2026. I hope they will add the older models as well - via a firmware update. That would be nice. Edit: YouTube reviews are out. I watched these two.

PSA - All Panasonic orders seemingly delayed indefinitely at the moment

Not sure how it works in the US but here in the UK, when I looked into it, DHL are actually contracted with Panasonic UK Store to hold their stock and fulfil orders. We got sent a S1II instead of S1RII and Panasonic customer service were pretty helpful in the end. I don't think it was their fault, j

Experiences with Lumix customer service? Considering switching to S5 II from Sony

Bought the $1600 24-70 f/2.8. However, it wouldn’t go below 26mm, or past 68mm. Sent it to Panasonic, they sent me a brand new one. Super easy. Now, their new S1ii series cameras have a 5 year warranty. I think that shows a lot of confidence in their product, and after such a fantastic experience qu

It finally happened: RedxNikon

For the price, the features you get are absolutely insane. “Back in the day” (2015) I spent close to $30K on a RED Epic Dragon that pretty much has the same frame rates and main resolution combinations this tiny little camera now offers for less than 1/10 the price (if we look at things as body only

Finally can’t wait for MKII …

The FX3/A7S III are missing things in 2026 that cameras like the C50 and Lumix S1 II already have. Open-gate recording, richer monitoring tools (waveform, false color), more flexible codecs, and stronger internal stabilization are not just “nice to haves”, they meaningfully improve speed and flexibi

Considering selling to fund an M240 & SL2-S, Am I insane?

I was convinced that the Panasonic S1II e was the way to go and it’s a great camera very capable but eventually went back to SL3S because of the fotos app, the menu system and viewfinder and joystick. Just enjoy it more

Panasonic Lumix 40mm F2 vs TT Artisan 40mm F2 - TLDR

I think its fair to say that the TT artisan is astonishing for the price. A few things more going for the Panasonic lens not mentioned though: -First party firmware updates-access to cropless image stabilisation (on S1ii bodies)-First party distortion and vignetting correction-At least in the UK, 5

When ya'll think a new video centric camera from Lumix will be release?

No. If anything another firmware release with amazing features and some new glass, but I strongly believe, despite what others wish, that the S1II is LUMIX idea to replace the S1H. Today's market doesn't support too wide a spread of cameras. Already the low, middle and high end are covered. If anyth

Andrew Reid predicts Panasonic is soft-quitting the market for professional photographers and videographers

I've had one foot in the Fuji system since the X-T3, believing eventually they would get the AF to an acceptable place. Owned two X-H2s until recently, and they are the best value proposition in filmmaking. But I gave up hope that they were going to finish their work on that body and jumped ship. Le

So does the S1ii overheat? Whats the deal?

i don't do weddings either so my main concern is can it shoot 25p max res. i use blackmagic though for that stuff. i do sort of wish lumix would embrace a video style body as most of their pro users are video focused(not that pro photographers dont exist but ive never seen one, one or two leica l mo
