At least for M43, Panasonic’s newer cameras are either kinda middling (G100) or well-specced but bulky (GH7, G9ii). Seems like the preference is for smaller/lighter bodies with good features/IBIS, and Oly/OM just covers that better. That said, go check the used prices for the GX and GM lines, people

The S5II kit 20-60 isn't the sharpest wide open. It also isn't the fastest. The difference in DOF between Full frame and MFT is 2 stops of aperture. A Panasonic 10-25 F1.7 would actually give you a shallower depth of field and more light than the 20-60. But that is a big expensive lens, and the GH7

GH7 also the same weight as the Panasonic Lumix S1II which is a full frame camera. In fact its heavier than canon R5 II and Sony A1 II GH7 is really a production video-camera inside a DSLR body without the mirror, I have no idea why they just did not stick it inside a camcorder body with that weight

It doesn't make sense that a stacked sensor with less than half the resolution and 1/4 the size reads out slowest in the market. So a 2ms or 1ms sensor, faster write speeds or file generation would be perfect

Looking at what's topping the sales charts where I live (Asia, the biggest consumer market), I can tell you what's selling and what Panasonic should look into making: 1 - Compact lens fixed cameras. Stuff like the Ricoh GR, Fuji X100, Canon G7X. These sell millions of units. Lumix could pack their n

Exactly. The huge appeal of micro four-thirds early on was that you had a choice between SLR-style bodies and more compact rangefinder-style bodies with a corner viewfinder. Today, the only current lines still being refreshed: the Panasonic GH (GH7 = $1800 [prices new, body only on B&H]) and G optio
