A GH5 with f/2.8 lens would weigh roughly the same as the S5 with a kitlens. The main advantage of the GH5 would be: More zoom range for the same weight. The leica 12-60 give you the FF equivalent of 24-120 for similar weight as the S5 20-60. (Though shooting in APS-C mode on the S5 effectively exte

I started off small with just a canon RP and a 35mm and wasn’t even recording audio at the time. I then eventually moved to the 2 GH5s and got 2 Tascam DR-10Ls for audio and an H4essential to get audio from the DJ. Needless to say i was not fully invested financially in any setup so i wouldn’t take

Been with LUMIX since the GH3…Still use my GH5 and GH5s for paid work…wanted to go FF and stick with them, but these results are not acceptable. Any word on the S1iiE overheating?

Extreme low budget: < €300 Lumix G80/G85 - a 4k hybrid camera with IBIS from about 2013. 16 megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor. Lovely camera, but quite dated. Great to learn on. Lenses for Micro Four Thirds are cheap too. If you can find one with the 12-60 3.5-5.6 kit lens, you'll get a decent lens

The GH5S is getting old at this point, I wonder if there are any newer Lumix models that you could pick up at a similar price with better timecode support?

I use the Sony a7iv for my videos, it’s a beast in low light and I’ve had it in severe storms, no problem. Another good option for you would be the Sony a6700, it’s a bit cheaper but still outstanding in low light. Get a good prime lens that opens up to f1.8 or more and you’ll bet set. Sigma makes a
