ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 in the Wild (with 64 GB of DDR5!)
The camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 that i got on Ebay for around 2300 SEK = 247 USD. The lens is a 7Artisans 50 mm F1.2 APS-C with Micro 4/3 mount that I got for 1200 SEK = 129 USD on Amazon. The photos are shot wide open on the aperture (F1.2), but keep in mind that you will probably have to fi

Please de-influence me from the G7x / Lens recommendation for a Panasonic Lumix G7? Hi! Last summer I went ton a trip and my friend had the Canon g7x. I know it’s an overhyped camera, but all the pics I took on it were so beautiful and effortless. The colors really stood out to me. I know almost not

best cameras around 500$ for lowlight photography?
50 mm point is valid but it doesn't really matter what the f stop is, it matters more about the focus distance from the subject, if you are focusing far away from the camera everything will be in focus, if you are focusing on something closer to the minimum focus distance then it will blow everythin

Any good but cheap cameras?
Check mpb.com. Its a used gear reseller. They sell used camera equipment. That enables you to skip all the private used gear buying problems. If you need a lens as well you’ll be limited to the much older models. But there is still a lot of choice there. If you don’t need a lens because you can borr

2025 Panasonic Lumix Micro Four Thirds Camera
DMC-G7 here! I have built a nice array of lenses for this, and I'm waiting for an opportunity to upgrade the body. Small, lightweight, weatherproof M43 with newer features is what I'm waiting for (if I don't cave in and buy a G9II). I believe I'm not the only one waiting for Panasonic to reconcile t

Panasonic g7 v g80/85 (or other?)
I just found this thread on the exact same thing: here It seems the g7 is great for starting out, but if you can afford the g80/85 it will benefit you with the stabilization feature. I personally started my camera journey with a g100 and it was very solid, but lacking solid stabilization does make y

Is the Panasonic G7 a camera I can do photography with?
i’ll post this even tho this post is dead. i’ve had the lumix g7 for years, and I’ve never liked it. So I figured that I would start shooting actual film, and got myself a leica m6 rangefinder camera, which is quite expensive. I then began developing my film at home for the last year or more, I scan

Macro Camera Options?
Micro Four Thirds (m43) sensor is smaller which has advantage over larger sensor for macro. The cheapest m43 is G7 which is a 10-yr tech (16MP) but should work for macro. B&H has one for $450 ($378 used) with a kit lens. The kit lens has 0.17x magnification which might be good enough for close-up (n

Does anybody have any experience with adapting the Lumix Leica 14-50mm f/2.8-3.5 Mega OIS lens to a Micro Four Thirds system? (Camera: Lumix G7)
Well I personally love adapting vintage lenses to my G7 so I am used to only using manual focus, which I also prefer as it gives me more control. I just am worried about my adapter maybe I should get the OEM adapter the other commentor mentioned. I am mainly looking at this for the Leica glass and e

Panasonic Lumix G7, maybe. It's a nice hybrid camera. Kit lens for the lens.
