New to this, new set up

Yes, I'd replace that grinder for a DF54 or even the Encore ESP. I have a similar OXO conical burr grinder but primarily use it for drip, cold brew, etc. It won't work with unpressurized baskets.

[OXO Brew Conical Burr] grinder cannot grind fine enough for espresso?

OXO Brew Conical Burr grinder cannot grind fine enough for espresso? It should be able to grind fine enough for pressurized/dual wall. For non-pressurized, you are correct, it will not grind fine enough. And even if it could, it lacks the fine grained adjustments needed to dial in non-pressurized. I

Recommendations for Entry-Mid Electric Grinders Mainly Pour Over

The Baratza Encore ESP is probably the standard rec for this range, and the company makes its replacement parts readily available. The Fellow Opus also comes highly recommended but is much newer, so there are some questions about its durability. Unfortunately, they're American companies, so I'm not

What I’m doing wrong?

What grinder do you have? I had the same experience and ended up upgrading my grinder to one explicitly geared towards espresso. It has made all the difference. I’m new to home espresso and was thinking my OXO conical burr grinder would be fine running on the finer settings. That was not the case.

Struggling to use

OXO Control conical grinder. I have to run it twice to get all the beans ground. I think most people who use it just grind a lot more, take their one or two scoops out as needed; top off the reservoir except so often

Best friend gifted me a tamping station — setup feels complete

Baratza encore esp. It's a solid grinder when it comes to automatic grinders (price to performance ratio). Before this, I tried the OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder. Returned the OXO grinder in 2 weeks. The output was too coarse in my experience. Been using the baratza grinder for ~1.5 years. It

Coffee corner is feeling cozy today ✨

Well, I know what I’m gifting myself next time I’m on Abbot Kinney. I bought the OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder for $100. It lasted about 90 days and gave out.

Advice needed. New Flair 58 plus, little to no pressure building.

Oxo Brew Conical Burr is the problem. if you want good espresso a good grinder is essential DF54 or Baratza Encore ESP are good entry level grinders that will work great with the flair 58. hand grinders are cheaper, but I would advise against it. there is already a lot of steps in espresso workflow,

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread

I have an Oxo Conical grinder. It handles the regular sized beans no problem, but the smaller beans keep getting stuck in the hopper. I have to keep hitting the top or they wont go down. Its very annoying. What kind of grinder should I get since it seems like all the beans I get these days are small
