Convince me on the OXO 8 cup coffee maker - Can't make up my mind

It’s quick, it’s convenient, my coffee tastes great, and it can brew into your mug as long as the mug isn’t weirdly tall. I’m not blown away by it. My aeropress definitely makes a stronger tasting cup, likely a byproduct of my aeropress ratio (13.5:1). But I like the Oxo 8 because it’s simple and wo

Any vegetarian overlanders out there? What's your favorite thing to make on the trails??

My wife has meusli for breakfast. I only have coffee. Coffee is the most important meal of the day. We bring an Oxo Brew 8 cup coffee maker. Bulky but worth it.

Is the Behmor Brazen Plus 3.0 still a good dripper in 2026?

Can't speak to the Behmor, but I've really enjoyed using the Oxo 8 cup coffee maker and it retails around $200. It has held up better for me than the similar Bonavita models I had previously.

Convince me on the OXO 8 cup coffee maker - Can't make up my mind

Ok so I wrote this awhile back when asked about coffee makers I've owned. Bottom like - the Oxo 8 cup was the least favorite of all the coffee makers I have ever had. It's been years since I've had a Bonavita, and it was from the old company rather than the new one. I owned both a cone filter Bonavi

please help me upgrade drip maker from Zojirushi Zutto EC-DAC50 - do you use one? something nicer?

My wife and I used to make pourovers every day before we had kids, but for the last few years, we've been trying to simplify. We switched to a machine. I wanted one that could do a good job making 1-2 cups of coffee and be able to brew a big pot whenever we wanted. We chose the OXO 8-cup coffee make

Convince me on the OXO 8 cup coffee maker - Can't make up my mind

I absolutely love the OXO 8 cup, it excels when brewing with the Kalita Wave 185 filters and Kalita 1-4 cup filter insert. My brewed tastes nearly perfect like a nurtured pour over every time. The only meh is the pre-infusion doesn't hit every grind, but the time it waits between the pre-infusion an

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread

Does anyone have the OXO 8 cup coffee maker? The one with a stainless steel carafe and options for smaller brew or 5-8 cup brew. We just got a brand new one from OXO’s own website, and it’s the first coffee maker I’ve ever owned that isn’t working out of the box. OXO support sent us a replacement un

Convince me on the OXO 8 cup coffee maker - Can't make up my mind

Just received the OXO 8 cup coffee maker today and it doesn't work at all! It won't brew. Guess I have to send it back. Ticks me off cause I did a lot of research before choosing this one.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread

What are you looking for that your OXO 8 cup brewer doesn’t give you? I’m not sure that you’ll find either the Moccamaster or the Ratio 4 to be a significant upgrade in terms of brew quality.
