Do I Need the New 2026 Patagonia Refugio 30L?
I had a look at the old and the new side-by-side yesterday and prefer the old. The shop models were stuffed with pillows, so I got a decent sense of how they would look when filled, but of course not how they would carry with a proper full load. . The new version has the laptop section in the back w

45L Suggestions?
My partner has carried the Osprey Sojourn Porter 46 on 7 long trips now (6-9 weeks) and loves it. The slightly rigid side panels make it easy to pack and the compression straps mean you can cinch it down really nicely if it's not full. It is lasting really well. The only slight downside is that if i

Advice on packing list + backpack recommendation for 6-week Europe trip (June/July)
I just got the Osprey Sojourn Porter I haven't used it yet, but I love it! It's technically carry-on compliant but you can really pack it full to be more than 46L if you end up getting souvenirs or something.

Help with bag for 6 weeks in Europe
Visit Paddy Pallin, Macpac and Kathmandu in Sydney near Town Hall station and ask for some advice. A bag around 40L in size will be plenty big enough. I am an elderly Australian woman who has to carry medication and mobility aids and I could travel indefinitely with my OspRey Sojourn Porter 46L bag.

Allpa 35 for a 3 week trip?
Pack for a week a laundry happens. Note the dimensions are 22 x 12 x 10" (56 x 30 x 25cm) which is too deep for the majority of airlines. You might as well have a 40 liter. The Osprey Farpoint is 22”x14”x9” and the Sojourn Porter 46 is supposedly 21.5” X 14” X 9” and those bags have the compression

Have you always one bagged or worked your way to it? What are your biggest challenges g
Unless it’s a short business trip, I still check my bag most of the time. I’m plus sized, I prefer wearing skirts/dresses and I wear boxer shorts to prevent chafing. That inevitably means my clothing takes up way more space in the bag. I also carry a travel CPAP, and even if it doesn’t “count” towar

Does this bag even exist??
I have the osprey sojourn porter 30 and it hits all these marks except it has a laptop sleeve and it's not technically expandable, however it uses compression straps so it really is all about how full you pack it

Yet another "what bag should I buy," 35L edition
I love the Osprey sojourn porter 30. When it’s stuffed it’s about 30lbs.

Australia — need clothes shopping help!
Thank you! I don’t want outdoor specific products — just more travel friendly than 100% cotton 15 oz denim! And for sizing? Yeppers, it varies country to country and even brand to brand. I gave up shopping at Mont Bell in Japan because their XL is about a a US 8! I have screen-shot your reply, highl

Cost efficient method of travel across several countries
Don't check a bag for that short of a trip, for one. If you want to maximize packing without a checked bag, get yourself a sizable carry-on bag and a sizable "personal item" bag. For example, Patagonia's Mini MLC is an excellent personal item bag that can reasonably fit a week's worth of spring/summ
