This subreddit changed my life + What I learned

The “bag review” nerds love sh*tting on Osprey when they can. I watched a review on the Daylite 26+6 today and they said to “try these substitutes.” They were 2-3.5x the price! I actually needed a smaller bag than my Farpoint 40 and went with the Daylite 26+6 in black. There’s probably a great $250

The best starter bag for Onebag travel?

The Osprey 26+6 is one of the best combinations of flexibility (26 or 32L), durability, and price. Excellent choice for beginning to explore one bag territory especially for short trips. Works best as a personal item bag but I’d argue it’s an essential bag for the one bag arsenal.

Paris in February with 1.5 Bags!

I just bought that Osprey 26+6 too--glad to read its praises! And I agree 100% about the museums-- tbh I could not get out of the Louvre fast enough. For future France travelers: In boulangeries ask for a baguette tradition, not classique. Huge difference in flavor and crust!

Those who onebag… how do you lan your laundry?

A couple of thoughts: a 23 l bag is down at the extreme end of one-bagging so you’re making this harder on yourself than it needs to be; a 30-35 l bag would make this easier or even a Osprey 26+6 fabric type matters a lot - cotton is heavy & bulky to pack, and dries slowly; synthetic fabrics made fo

Are Brand Name Backpacks Worth It?

I tend to buy brands I know and trust. My hiking pack is an Osprey and I love it and it wears like iron. So it was a no brainer to go with them for my smaller travel bag (26+6.) I also have an original, first run, twenty something year old Patagonia MLC as my bigger one bag option (45.) it’s my ride

Are Brand Name Backpacks Worth It?

The somewhat pricier bags usually have better quality materials and more of the features I want in a bag. I also like being able to try bags on to test fit, I live near an REI, and I just don't want to deal with ordering bags and then returning ones that I don't like. But, I very rarely buy bags at

Final Carryon Selection

I absolutely love my travelpro maxlite air. Its been absolutely through it on many trips (e.g. dirt roads, cobblestone, train stations etc.) and its still kicking. I’ve also checked it quite a few times on my return trip and its barely scratched. I took it to Japan last year with a backpack on top (

Your experience with these suitcase-shaped backpacks trending right now?

So for me, I have a cheap bag. It’s from Ikea and it is the Varldens that opens clamshell style. It’s … FINE. It does what I need it to. I don’t love it. It would be wasteful to replace it until it wears out. That bag - like this one - is just a single compartment. Which I prefer but that is persona

Tom Bihn vs. Osprey

I own both Ospreys but the Osprey as Daylite 26+6. The fairpoint/ Fairview is a great backpack for real backpacking imo. I did 3 months Southeast Asia with it and loved it. Super sturdy and comfy. Nothing rly breaks this beast even when overpacked. Love the hop strap to lighten the load on my should

Wheelchair Handbike Bag Search

Hmmm have you looked at the osprey 26+6? It’s a backpack but does have the side handle on it and opens up to one large section which is what you want by the sound of it. Also has structure.
