The “bag review” nerds love sh*tting on Osprey when they can. I watched a review on the Daylite 26+6 today and they said to “try these substitutes.” They were 2-3.5x the price! I actually needed a smaller bag than my Farpoint 40 and went with the Daylite 26+6 in black. There’s probably a great $250

+1 for osprey. I'm rough on bags and mine has held up really well. You can get $10 off if you can find someone to refer you. I love my tropos. Super comfortable, has a frame to stand up on its own, and a mesh air gap in the back. I'm a hot person so wearing a backpack in summer means a sweaty back,

if you want the most budget one just get the quechua one. quechua isnt a top brand but for its price its considered pretty good quality compared to others in the similar price range if you want something that lasts forever get an osprey daylite plus 20L

Enjoy my osprey daylite, it is pretty small at only 13L but is what I was looking for in a small daypack. It has a structured back that stays pretty rigid when empty, doesn't have an overbearing number of pockets, nice sternum strap and waist strap, feels like a sturdy material, looks pretty sleek i

Just going by measurements the Micro is more like 26 liters. Interesting that the Mini is smaller as well as the Daylite 26+6, neither of which really reflect the loaded depth. The DL266 depth measurement is definitely just the side seams and if you fill it reasonably full is more like 8” deep. My 4

Consider the osprey daylite 26+6 for your purposes. (Sorry for non-patagonia blasphemy). It's served me well for this kind of thing for years. Incredibly well made backpack.

The Osprey Daylite 26+6 is excellent. They have 35 and 44L sizes too. Very affordable and great warranty. I recommend trying at a local store such as REI for fit and as a place you can return if it doesn't work out.

I use my osprey daylite plus as a travel (work) backpack and as a hiking pack. I’ve had it for 2 years and hundreds of miles. I have never once heard the zippers.

I wanted thr bag to be light enough so that i could carry it for couple hours- around 2lbs, sturdy enough to be taken on hikes and flights and capacity around 30L and my budget was around 150 USD. I decided on getting osprey daylite 35L. And i have been happy with the bag.

I have the Daylite 35L (as well as the Daylite 26+6 and the Daylite 44L) and I love it. The Osprey straps are SO much more comfortable than any other backpack I’ve tried by a mile, I’d only ever buy an Osprey backpack for travel. I agree that a hip belt will help take weight off your shoulders, thou
