Atmos AG 65L

I am not gentle with my pack, and my Osprey Atmos has seen probably close to 600 miles, dozens of nights just outside of my tent, and it is still just as comfortable as when I bought it, barely shows any wear, and I am confident it will get me at least another 600 miles, likely more.

I have been using an Osprey Atmos 65 but it weighs nearly 5 lb. I just bought another Osprey, a 58 L one, that is their effort toward being much lighter. I think it weighs around 2-2.5 lb. It seems to have decent waist belt and shoulder strap padding even though it's in the 2 lb range at that size.

As for brands, Osprey is super reliable (I use an Osprey Atmos 65 and love the fit and all the pockets for organizing awkward gear). I use a Deuter Guide 44+ for daytrips or light overnighters. With more gear or nights, I use my Osprey Atmos AG 65. Both really good packs that I've used extensively on multi-day hike / mountaineering trips.

When you say the Nepal backpack are you talking about the one sold by the Go outdoor group? I had the old old version of that when it was badged as HiGear. I think I may have a pair of cheap water proof ones. But yes a shout as I would have forgotten about them. I'm thinking about osprey because I want it to last and I've heard nothing but good reviews about the atmos AG 65. will look on eBay
