Having trouble justifying spending $500... college student here.

If you want to get just once device, I would recommend putting as much money into an iPad as you can. You can read on an iPad just fine, and it will be beneficial for writing and typing as well. I have a few eink tablets as well as a few iPads. The eink devices are slow to the point of being frustra

More ram in upcoming models?

there's only one device from Boox with 8GB RAM, and it is ironically the Palma 2 Pro which is also their smallest. imo they should standardize on 8GB but this is a tricky market to make that argument.

Let's Talk About "EinkWise" – We Need Your Feedback!

You should give us the ability to disable the display enhancement / auto ghost clearing on the Boox Palma 2 pro it causes weird motion blur. You force it on the Boox mira pro color too and it sucks. I also see that the setting isn't there on the p6 pro but is on the normal Palma 2.

Ask Me Anything About My E-Ink Tablet Collection

Writing experience on the Go 7, Go Color 7 was awful IMO. Laggy, noisy, missed strokes etc. It was when Boox first introduced their InkSense Active Pen - having said that I'm currently testing the latest version of InkSense on the new gen go 10.3 and it seems to have been improved somewhat. I do rem

Small e-reader, which one?

The boox palma to me is overpriced for what it is. I would look at the bigme b6 if its avaliable. The size is a little wider and shorter but still six inch, to me its a more natural format, the palma screen is too narrow to me. There also a boox go 6 but its kinda slow, but if you are using it for r

I need the X4 with Android.

The Boox Palma is a 6" smartphone-sized eInk device powered by Android. It's unfortunately just four or five times more expensive than the X4. The X4 is powered by a really low power microcontroller that can basically just handle updating the display, reading ePub files off an SD card, and some basi

Boox team listen up - here's why USI 2.0 is dreadful

Did everyone else have a completely different experience than me with the inksense plus and their palma 2 pro? Sure, the texture feels fine, but the ability to pick up all pen strokes, details, and be completely responsive and fine-tuned was completely absent. the delay in starting lines from when t

To those of you who have 2 e-readers, why do you keep both and what do you use each one for?

My kindle paper white 11th gen has become slow and laggy. My boox Palma that I used primarily for fanfic broke. So I bought a boox Palma 2 pro which I later returned. I bought the kindle basic in matcha due to its size. Might return that too. I bought a kobo Clara color which has basically replaced

Never buy GameSir their customer service is horrible

Just want to say this applies to all Chinese market products. Nothing wrong with the product being made or produced in China, its just they have a higher rate of failure than say Nintendo. What drives me nuts is no Youtubers have the motivation to cover this because it bites the hand that feeds them
