Since you use G80, I would just go for a E-PL5 if you don't care about wireless transfer. Wireless transfer use E-PL8 if you still want compatibility with the VF-4 viewfinder. Looking to buy my first mirrorless camera after many years away from the hobby and wanted to get some advice on choices. Are my potential choices good starter cameras or should I think of other devices?
Used e-pl5 - same sensor as e-pl9 and all 16mp oly , older , cheaper, same IQ. Buy used if sell costs very little to try. canon g7x vs sony alpha a6300?
If the M50 is too bulky for you, you should consider either a point and shoot or a mirrorless on the smaller side with a pancake lens. The G7X line isn't really worth what they're charging for these days, and the a6300 doesn't really have any good pancake lens. Go for something like this. The E-PL9
