Should i upgrad to the 12-100 f4.0 Pro

The 12–100mm f/4 is, in my opinion, one of the best lenses ever made for any camera system. The only reason I no longer own it is its size and weight on my OM-5. I eventually settled on the smaller 12–45mm f/4, but if I were using a larger body, the 12–100mm f/4 would be the only travel lens I’d eve

So who's buying an OM-5 II and why? (Surprise: Me?)

Yeah I can see why it seems like we’ve had 3 cameras that are the same that have slowly chipped away at what was needed. I don’t think that’s especially fair when looking at the E-M5.3 and the OM-5. They are based on two different “1 series” cameras, E-M1.2 and E-M1.3. The major missteps were: The E

OM5 ii Alternative Recommendations

I have spent a bit of time (probably more than I should) hunting for the 'perfect' camera. Small size with lenses, and high quality. After trying the fujis, apsc, I have ended up with my OM-5 and I truly think it is the best option out there at that functionality and price point. Even if the bodies

Help me save money?

Buy OM-5 bundled with 14-150mm f4-5.6 PRO lens and you are good to go. OM5 camera body is very capable and paired with lens mentioned above, you will be able to capture almost everything life will prepare for you. You will be slightly limited only in low light photography (prime lenses are kings the

Backpacking friendly camera

+1 for m4/3 cameras. The OM System OM-5 Mk I or II will be perfect. Light, excellent weather sealing, and will produce professional grade photos if you use it right. Don't let anyone tell you different. I print 30x40 landscape prints off the older 16MP EM-5 II, and the OM-5s have a newer 20MP sensor

Choosing my system, M43 or APS-C, and what lens?

I can only speak to what I know but I have the OM-5 mk2 (virtually identical to mk1) with the 14-150mm lens and the versatility of that lens is phenomenal. For a lens the size of a coke can, you can do landscapes, portraits, wildlife, whatever. Plus the system is weather sealed so it's a great one l

It's M43 Monday! Ask Us Anything about Micro Four-Thirds Photography - all questions welcome!

The higher-end OM-System cameras definitely have better build quality. If you want something that feels similar to the film OM-1, the OM System OM‑3 would be a great choice. The body is made almost entirely of magnesium alloy, with the only exception being the back panel, so it feels very solid, dur

Olympus or Fujifilm for Travel and Nature Photography

For context, I have experience with both systems. I started photography last year with an Olympus E-M1, and eventually switched to a Fujifilm X-T3 which is a significantly better camera. But likewise, I've enjoyed my experiences with both systems. I really enjoyed Fujifilm because of the Film Recipe

Stuck Between OM-1 Mark II and Fuji X-T5 — Need Real-World Advice, Not Spec Sheets

I've got the OM-1 mk 2 that I use mainly for birds. Love it. The AI subject detect autofocus was a game changer for me, low light performance is fantastic for m43. It's comfortable to hold and use. I first purchased the OM-5 mk ii to get into interchangeable lens cameras but as I got more into birds
