I have done a similar thing with my old E-M1 II once. Was on a trip in the jungle, dropped my camera with 12-40 mm Pro lens on it into the mud. Like, there was no way to get it off without rubbing it into all nooks and crannies. So I just grabbed my water bottle and washed the mud off the camera. Wo

Between OM-3 and A6700 for mounting on a backpack strap, I would pick OM-3 due to weather sealing and smaller lens set. But if I knew I would carry my camera mounted on a backpack strap and I would not need an EVF, then I would pick an Olympus E-P7 with Oly 14-42mm EZ or Pana 12-35 for day/outdoors

R8 is a base model full frame with minimal features, it lacks weather sealing, stabilization, and uses a small battery. It's main selling point is that it's a full frame but not much else going for it. OM-3 is a flagship level camera with IP rated weather sealing, 7.5 stops of IBIS with stabilized l

Don't let glasses or EVF placement dissuade you from using the EVF. With either camera just get an add-on rubber eye cup and adjust the diopter for viewing through your glasses. The worst you'll deal with is a little nose tip smudge on your back display. EVFs exist for a reason. As for which camera,

The "kit" lens for om-3 is actually stupidly good. It's one of the sharpest zooms on the system and it does it all wide open at f4. It's great for semi-macro too since it can focus pretty close. It's also light, small and weather sealed.

It depends what you want I guess. If you want to unlock all the capabilities of your camera and have a nice zoom, either the 12-40mm or 12-45mm make the most sense. The 12-40 in particular, this lens goes super well on the OM-1, and it unlocks all the features you would want (in camera focus stackin

OM-5 is definitely weather sealed. The tracking AF is not nearly as good as my OM-1, and the OM-3 is even better. For typical family pictures using S-AF, there’s no difference and the focus speed is dependent only on which lens you use. If you want AI subject detection (cats, birds, cars) then the O

The camera is weather resistant and has no real rating for weather proofing. Simply put, the camera is not weather proof. I’ve seen folks who got their camera bricked from a light rain even when using the Fuji branded weather resistant filter and Fuji denied their warranty because it isn’t truly adv

Hey I have an OM3 and it was my first camera in the MFT ecosystem. Paired it with the excellent 12-40 f2.8 for really good weather sealing. I've been out in really heavy snow storms in Canada and Scandinavian rain without issues. Added the 40-150 f2.8 for action and now I'm looking at the 60mm macro

Fuji autofocus is the worst of the mainstream companies. Fuji weather sealing is unreliable. I didn't find the 40mp on the X-T5 anywhere near as croppable as my Nikon Z7 (45mp). I'm not sure if that's the Xtrans, the file processing, or what. It just didn't retain detail as much as it should have. P
