I sent a manifesto to OM SYSTEM Japan, and the head of customer service sent back a surprisingly emotional reply.
silver-finished lenses to match the retro aesthetic. I dont personally get this one, all the original analog lenses from the om-zuiko series are black. Im one of those who bought a om-3 to match my analog om-1 (and Im using the old lenses with a converter) and the silver lenses are not for me, I wou

Would you stick with MFTeven if you got enough money to get a high end FF kit?
I have enough money to buy a full frame. Sometimes I consider it. Nikons retro styld camera is pretty tempting. But I am really happy with my OM-3. Better to just save the money and use my camera.

Is M43 Really That Rare? (Discussion)
I have been going on photowalks in Seattle area for past couple of years and I always see a bunch of m43 cameras in there. I think most people there do have a second or third system (FF or APSC) but since photowalks are casual and mostly focused on street photography, many people prefer to bring the

OM-3 or A6700 for travel?
highly recommending shooting both. I can only speak to the om-3 and have nothing but praise. I also own a couple if new Fuji’s and a Leica q3, and the OM-3 shooting experience far surpasses these cameras.

Is there anyone who has used both Sony and Olympus cameras?
I’ve had Fuji, Sony FF, APSC as well as Olympus/om cameras which I currently use. For me I really enjoy the lighter weight, ergonomics, ruggedness of OM and the quality of the output is completely acceptable for what I do with the cameras. The downside of m43 being MUCH less actively developed in th

APS-C for macro?
I'll start this off by clarifying I only have experience with Sony & Olympus / OM systems. I've tried to use the Sony A6700 and the Sony 90mm for handheld insect macro photography and eventually gave up. The sensor readout time and buffer were too slow for my style of photography. I ended up going w

Titanium Cameras (Leica M6, Nikon FM2T)
Or the OM-3 Ti, but that’s a collectors camera.

Future of OMSystem
Ha! Thats funny. In reality OM is, somehow, healthier than Panasonic (in m43 world that is). The CEO, an ex Olympus camera executive, just bought majority share from the investment group and now has total control. They also built an all new lens R&D/manufacturing plant months ago. They are now teasi

Beginner: How should I split my budget between camera body and lenses to be future-proof?
Two years ago, I had a little extra money that was for me and me alone. I could spend it on me and no one would be mad. I went and bought a camera everyone wanted at the time (Fujifilm X100VI) and immediately sold it back because I just didn't like being stuck with only one focal length. Though I'd

Help me save money?
There are some real ergonomic differences between the OM-5 (both versions) and the OM-3 that may be impactful for you. The retro look of the 3 looks cool, but does have an impact on handling and use of the camera compared to the 5 (or the OM-1). I have an OM-5 and am happy with it, but was strongly
