First leaked image of the new OM-5II
I truly hope—pray, even—that OM System’s next release won’t just be another rehash like the OM-1 Mark II. That camera, while fine on paper, was essentially a software update sold at full price, and it left many of us deeply disillusioned. I’m starting to lose hope in the brand. I’ve been using the E

OM-1 Mark II vs OM-3 for street/hiking (coming from E-M5 III + 12-100)
I have both and I'm about to offload the OM-3 as I just can't get a comfortable grip on it. I've tried the SmallRig grips and a half case and neither really work for me. The issue is the Colour Dial on the front. It just sits in the wrong place for my fingers. The grip is slightly smaller than the h

OM System Now Majority Owned By Former Olympus Camera Division Lead
Olympus Corporation won't allow it. OM System is actually a historic name brand that was chosen for its heritage. But yes, it isn't as iconic as the unavailable Olympus brand name.

What's wrong with those "for m43 guys"?
I think there is a perception problem with m43 that is unfortunately fueled in part by the m43 maker marketing. I say this as a mft user for the past four years that is now looking for alternatives elsewhere. There are many reasons why users come to or look at m43. My reasons were size, affordabilit

OM-3 grip advice
I have the Leofoto one as well, it matches the camera well which is why I chose it. It did scratch my OM-3 in the same place as everyone else, I put a piece of gaffer tape in the affected area to prevent it from getting worse over time. (It's just a little paint loss, annoying it happened but affect

Leica Lumix L10 is going to be selling like hot cakes in this economy
Tbf the options the Pen F, EP7 and OM3 offer are also really good but the user interface options are kinda outdated. On top of that Olympus/ OM System never was good at explaining the possibilities. Only a few content creators Rob Trek did a good job. They never made it easier, real time or with app

Can't make a decision
I think personally I can see where you are going with this post, but also personally I can say that you probably should have stated what the real issues actually are, ergonomics means the GX8 and GX80 wont be much better you need a BIGGER camera period, something like Lumix G80, G70 or heck even E-M

Sharing some of my poofy looking bird pictures taken with the OM-1
OM-3 still quite big especially compared to the EM5 or OM-5. So the difference really is that noticeable? size and weight are significant factors because I... I want to be able to give my kid the camera.that's also why ruggedness is a factor. 😬 can easily combat that with the exposure compensation A
