Help me save money?

Check out the E-P7. I got it in mint condition with kit lens for only $505 from MAP Camera on eBay. It looks awesome and has the same color profiles as the OM-3. IQ is going be be basically identical to OM-3, but you are giving up an EVF, premium metal construction and some advanced computational mo

Hooray for weather sealing

Oh, this is like "perfect weather" for these Oly cameras. I have dropped mine into a rainforest mud once and washed it off under a waterfall. Nothing but some "crunch" in dials for the next few weeks - still works flawlessly. Some other cameras have good weather sealing too (like the mid-range/flags

OM-3 or A6700 for travel?

Between OM-3 and A6700 for mounting on a backpack strap, I would pick OM-3 due to weather sealing and smaller lens set. But if I knew I would carry my camera mounted on a backpack strap and I would not need an EVF, then I would pick an Olympus E-P7 with Oly 14-42mm EZ or Pana 12-35 for day/outdoors

The situation with Adorama is imploding: the GH7's shutter count is over 500. Sold as "new", delivered on Tuesday, I noticed this morning that the "AF" button appeared worn, so I checked the shutter count. Adorama wants to charge me a restocking fee if I exchange it. (see my picture below)

Sorry if this had been brought up sufficiently as I don't have time to pour through all the replies, but I doubt if your camera is used. I know it wouldn't be if it were from OM System as they test their cameras in house for up to 1,000 shutter activations. My OM-3 came with 844 shots on it and my O

Best minimal (light/small/budget) lens combo for any situation?

Personally, I think the best overall setup is 12-45mm f4 pro, 40-150mm f4 pro, 75-300mm, dji 15mm f1.7 and sigma 56mm f1.4 (+ a flash). It would cover most situations, everything would be very small and the cost is relatively low. If I had to make a budget version of it, it would still actually incl

Future of OMSystem

Rumors of the death of the m43 system have been circulating since at least 2018 when YouTuber Tony Northrup predicted its demise in a few years. Well, here we are in 2026 and the system is still with us, having outlived his own personal marriage. Although OM System is now privately held and therefor

Is there anyone who has used both Sony and Olympus cameras?

I’ve had Fuji, Sony FF, APSC as well as Olympus/om cameras which I currently use. For me I really enjoy the lighter weight, ergonomics, ruggedness of OM and the quality of the output is completely acceptable for what I do with the cameras. The downside of m43 being MUCH less actively developed in th

PetaPixel and Emily from Micro Four Nerds on how to save Micro Four Thirds - the manufacturers only make large premium cameras and are afraid to make a small one that isn't plastic and chintzy

They see the money in Om3s, GH and back in the day, Pen-Fs. They dont see the money coming in from the Pen Lites and Pen Minis and GF sadly. To be fair, the market saw that segment slowly petering off in the last decade - but its not dead. If OM systems/ Panasonic can Make their mobile apps actually

APS-C for macro?

I'll start this off by clarifying I only have experience with Sony & Olympus / OM systems. I've tried to use the Sony A6700 and the Sony 90mm for handheld insect macro photography and eventually gave up. The sensor readout time and buffer were too slow for my style of photography. I ended up going w

Or the OM-3 Ti, but that’s a collectors camera.
